Purpose: Screw-retained implant crowns are a common solution to rehabilitate single or multiple edentulous sites. Angulated screw channel (ASC) abutments have been developed as a new system of connection to correct the angulation of the implant and avoid a possible undesired emergence of the access hole. The purpose of this systematic review was to examine available literature related to the effects of ASC abutments in rehabilitating single implant crowns.

Statement Of Problem: Conometric retention was developed as an effective and predictable rehabilitative option. However, the clinical performance of conometric retention is still uncertain.
Purpose: The purpose of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to analyze the clinical outcomes of patients rehabilitated with conometrically retained, implant-supported fixed prostheses.

Purpose: The purpose of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to analyze the clinical and radiographic outcomes of patients rehabilitated using a single implant supporting a crown with a cantilever extension or two implants supporting two single crowns.
Methods: Following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) 2020 guidelines, a systematic review of relevant literature published from 2000 was conducted in the Cochrane Library, Scopus, and MEDLINE databases. Moreover, a manual search was performed.

Introduction: To analyse the perspectives of healthcare professionals (HCPs) regarding the acceptance of digital health solutions for growth hormone (GH) deficiency care. This study identified factors impacting HCPs' intent to use and recommend digital solutions supporting recombinant-human growth hormone (r-hGH) therapy in Italy and Korea with a use case of connected drug delivery system (Aluetta with Smartdot™) integrated in a platform for GH treatment support (the Growzen™ digital health ecosystem).
Methods: Participatory workshops were conducted in Rome, Italy, and Seoul, Korea, to collect the perspectives of 22 HCPs on various predefined topics.

In cases of severe horizontal atrophy, implant placement requires bone reconstruction procedures. The aim of this randomized controlled trial is to compare the outcomes of bone augmentation with simultaneous implant placement using the shell technique to the outcomes of guided bone regeneration (GBR) in cases of severely horizontal bone atrophy. This study was designed as a monocentric, parallel-group, randomized controlled trial with a six-month follow-up.

Adherence to recombinant human growth hormone (r-hGH; somatropin, [Saizen®], Merck Healthcare KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany) treatment is fundamental to achieve positive growth outcomes in children with growth disorders and to improve quality of life and cardiometabolic risk in adult patients affected by GH deficiency. Pen injector devices are commonly used to deliver r-hGH but, to the authors' knowledge, none is currently digitally connected. Since digital health solutions are rapidly becoming valuable tools to support patients to adhere to treatment, the combination of a pen injector connected to a digital ecosystem to monitor treatment adherence is an important advance.

Background: The evolution of therapeutic landscape of human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2)-positive breast cancer (BC) has led to an unprecedented outcome improvement, even if the optimal sequence strategy is still debated. To address this issue and to provide a picture of the advancement of anti-HER2 treatments, we performed a large, multicenter, retrospective study of HER2-positive BC patients.
Methods: The observational PANHER study included 1,328 HER2-positive advanced BC patients treated with HER2 blocking agents since June 2000 throughout July 2020.

Background: Compared to the other members of human epidermal growth factor family receptors (HER), the role of HER3 has not been well defined in laryngeal cancer. The predictive and prognostic role of HER3 has been the focus of clinical attention but the research findings are contradictory, especially in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC). The variable localization of HER3 within cancer cells and the role of HER3 in primary and acquired resistance to HER1-targeted therapies remain unclear.

: The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has deeply revolutionized our lives and consequently the management of patients, specifically ones with severe asthma.: A survey was conducted to evaluate the effects on adherence, exacerbations and quality of life in patients with severe asthma during the COVID-19 pandemic period.: 100 severe asthma patients, who accepted to participate to the survey, were asked to respond to different questionnaires in order to assess asthma symptoms (Asthma Control Test - ACT, and Asthma Control Quality - ACQ) and rino-sinusal ones (Sino-nasal outcome test - SNOT-22).

The treatment of renal cancer has changed in the last decades with an increase in application of conservative surgery such as partial nephrectomy (PN) in order to achieve an optimal oncological outcome with the maximum preservation of renal function. The indication for PN is mandatory in case of bilateral tumors or in case of impaired renal function. Renal artery (RA) aneurysm (RAA) is a rare occurrence, and its treatment could be radiological or surgical according to the anatomy of the aneurysm and the clinical characteristics of the patients.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate correlation between centers' volume and incidence of failure to rescue (FTR) following liver resection for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Summary Background Data: FTR, defined as the probability of postoperative death among patients with major complication, has been proposed to assess quality of care during hospitalization. Perioperative management is challenging in cirrhotic patients and the ability to recognize and treat a complication may be fundamental to rescue patients from the risk of death.

Background: Ultrasound (US) is frequently the first line imaging technique used in patients with abdominal pain and clinical suspicion of chronic pancreatitis (CP), but its role in the diagnosis and follow-up of CP is still controversial.
Aims: We aimed to develop a dedicated score for the US staging of CP and to evaluate the agreement of this score with standard imaging techniques.
Methods: Ninety consecutive patients with a diagnosis of CP referred to the pancreatic outpatient clinic of A.
A surgical procedure may lead to unusual and unexpected clinical scenario. Good medical practice should always keep it in mind. So, a broken sternal steel wire was the rare cause of massive emphysema.

The biological clock controls at the molecular level several aspects of mammalian physiology, by regulating daily oscillations of crucial biological processes such as nutrient metabolism in the liver. Disruption of the circadian clock circuitry has recently been identified as an independent risk factor for cancer and classified as a potential group 2A carcinogen to humans. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the prevailing histological type of primary liver cancer, one of the most important causes of cancer-related death worldwide.

A 57-year-old woman presented to the Emergency Department with symptoms of worsening heart failure (HF). She had a past medical history of breast cancer treated with surgery and chemotherapy with anthracyclines and no family history of cardiomyopathy (CMP). In the last year, she received a diagnosis of HF with normal coronary arteries, during hospitalization for acute onset of dyspnea and was treated with medical therapy.

With our study, we searched the medical literature to find magnesium (Mg) correlation with Emergency situations or its use in Emergency Medicine. Our aim is to fill the gap that we find in our daily routine between Mg studies on its role in Emergency and the real conception that doctors have of it in medical practice. We searched the literature for terms as magnesium or magnesium sulphate, magnesium in emergency, eclampsia, arrhythmias, acute asthma exacerbation, magnesium, and pediatric population.

Background: In liver cirrhosis, the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system is involved in the pathogenesis of portal hypertension. Its effector, angiotensin II, is generated by angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). Serum ACE levels are affected by I/D polymorphism of its gene, with alleles I and D being associated, respectively, with lesser and greater activity of the enzyme.
