Malignant insulinomas are functional neuroendocrine tumors of the pancreas and the primary cause of tumor-related hypoglycemia. Malignant insulinoma is rare and has a poor prognosis. We report a case of metastatic malignant insulinoma in a 64-year-old female patient with severe and refractory hypoglycemia.

Background/aim: FOLFOX (5-Fluorouracile and oxaliplatin) exhibits promising activity in advanced well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). This retrospective study aimed to analyze the outcome of metastatic enteropancreatic NETs patients treated with FOLFOX.

Background: Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNET) are rare, with a significant malignant potential. This study aimed to determine outcomes of patients with resected PNETs according to the cystic component and confirm the accuracy of preoperative staging.
Methods: From 1997 to 2016, 106 patients underwent resection of PNETs, including 73 purely solid (S-PNETs, 69%), 21 mixed (M-PNETs, 20%), and 12 purely cystic lesions (C-PNETs, 11%).
