Introduction: In recent years, erbium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Er:YAG) and erbium, chromium/yttrium-scandium-gallium-garnet (Er,Cr:YSGG) lasers have been introduced as another possibility to perform less-invasive flapless (FL) crown-lengthening (CL) procedures.
Objectives: The aim of this review is to describe the outcomes and complications of this approach.
Materials And Methods: A literature review was conducted to retrieve clinical studies and case reports that analyze different variables related to laser-assisted flapless crown lengthening and report their outcomes in terms of gingival margin level stability (GMLS), and postoperative complications.

Real-time surgical navigation systems (dynamic computer-aided surgery, d-CAIS) and static guided surgery (static computer-aided surgery, s-CAIS) have been shown to enhance the accuracy of zygomatic implant (ZI) placement. The objective of this systematic review was to evaluate and compare the accuracy and risk of complications associated with d-CAIS and s-CAIS in ZI placement. A systematic review of published studies involving more than 4 patients was conducted to assess and compare the accuracy of d-CAIS and s-CAIS in zygomatic implant placement.

Recurrence is a well-known feature of odontogenic keratocyst (OKC). Compared with other odontogenic cysts, OKC is characterized by an infiltrating growth, aggressive biological behavior, and a greater tendency towards recurrence once removed, particularly when simple enucleation has been carried out. The recurrence rate is largely dependent upon the type of treatment applied; consequently, the planning of management must take into account the possible reasons why the cyst may recur.

The inferior alveolar nerve (IAN), contained within the mandibular canal (MC), is a structure prone to damage in clinical and surgical procedures on the mandible. This study aimed to analyze the MC morphology and its anatomical variants in a Chilean subpopulation using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). In total, 342 images from patients with the following parameters were observed: 120 kV, 9 mA, field of view 12 × 9 MC, and voxel size 0.

Objectives: To compare miniscrew versus bone tracing registration methods on dental implant placement accuracy and time efficiency in edentulous jaws using a dynamic computer-assisted implant surgery (d-CAIS) system.
Methods: Twelve fully edentulous maxillary models were allocated into two groups: miniscrew tracing (MST) group, where registration was performed by tracing four miniscrews; and bone tracing (BT) group, where registration was conducted by tracing maxillary bone fiducial landmarks. Six implants were placed on each model using the X-Guide® d-CAIS system.

Anterior implant-supported restorations can be challenging, but for a patient undergoing growth and development changes, clinical resolution becomes complex and demanding. To achieve successful outcomes, multidisciplinary dental therapy is required to manage esthetic consequences while maintaining a minimally invasive approach. This clinical report describes a comprehensive treatment protocol to address and treat growth and development complications for an implant-supported prosthesis.

Background: the purpose of this systematic review was to assess the clinical and radiographic effect of subgingival-administered statins as an adjunct periodontal treatment in patients with periodontitis.
Methods: Electronic literature searches in Medline/PubMed and the Cochrane Library were conducted to identify all relevant articles. Eligibility was based on inclusion criteria which included Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) published after 2010, where the periodontal variables were assessed before and after periodontal treatment in combination with a statin administration.

Objectives: To compare the accuracy and operative time of implant placement using a dynamic computer assisted implant surgery (dCAIS) system based on a cone beam computer tomography (CBCT) image, with and without superimposing a standard tessellation language (STL) file of an intraoral scan of the patient.
Methods: Ten identical resin models simulating an upper maxilla with posterior edentulism were assigned to two groups. In the CBCT+STL group, a CBCT file and an intraoral STL file were superimposed and used for registration; in the CBCT group, registration was performed using CBCT images.

Aims: To resolve the ongoing controversy surrounding the impact of teratoma (TER) in the primary among patients with metastatic testicular non-seminomatous germ-cell tumours (NSGCT).
Patients And Methods: Using the International Germ Cell Cancer Collaborative Group (IGCCCG) Update Consortium database, we compared the survival probabilities of patients with metastatic testicular GCT with TER (TER) or without TER (NTER) in their primaries corrected for known prognostic factors. Progression-free survival (5y-PFS) and overall survival at 5 years (5y-OS) were estimated by the Kaplan-Meier method.

The purpose of this paper was to determine the effect of anodization on the in vitro proliferation and adhesion of immortalized human keratinocytes (HaCats) and mouse bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) in Titanium Grade 23 (Ti6Al4V ELI) discs and to describe the surface topography, roughness, and composition of dental implants (body and collar) and abutments submitted to an area-specific anodization process. HaCat cells and BM-MSCs were seeded onto discs with three different surface treatments: machined, area-specific anodization for abutments, and area-specific anodization for implant collars. Cell proliferation was assessed using a resazurin-based fluorescent dye on days 1, 3, and 7, while cell adhesion was examined using scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

Background: The activation of dendritic cells (DCs) is pivotal for generating antigen-specific T-cell responses to eradicate tumor cells. Hence, immunotherapies targeting this interplay are especially intriguing. Moreover, it is of interest to modulate the tumor microenvironment (TME), as this harsh milieu often impairs adaptive immune responses.

This systematic review aims to analyse the available evidence concerning the use of citric acid (CA) in endodontics treatment and to assess its results in terms of different considerations: effect on smear layer removal, influence on sealer bond strength, activation effect by means of sonic or ultrasonic devices, effects on dentine surface, antibacterial activity, and effectiveness boost for regenerative procedures, releasing growth factors from dentin. To evaluate the results of CA as a final irrigant and compare them to other chelating agents. This review followed the PRISMA checklist.
