Background: Thyroidectomy is increasingly performed for suspected malignancy. This cohort study aimed to identify genetic markers associated with malignancy and determine the molecular landscape of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) through next-generation sequencing (NGS) in patients undergoing total thyroidectomy.
Patients And Methods: Among 116 surgical candidates, 103 patients (age = 42.

The impact of contaminants on Copepod sp. and its molecular response is least explored, despite their abundance and dominance among invertebrates in aquatic environments. In the present investigation, , a cyclopoid zooplankton, was treated with selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) to determine the associated biochemical changes, and the chronic exposure effects were recorded using transcriptomic analysis.

Wound management in obesity is complicated by excessive exudates from wounded areas, pressure ulcerations due to stacking of the fat layer, and vascular rarefaction. The current study explored the development of biomaterials for reprogramming the altered wound microenvironment under obese conditions. Self-assembled collagen biomatrix with trans and browning activator, apigenin, was fabricated as a soft tissue regenerative wound dressing material.

The wound exudates, hypoperfusion of the subcutaneous fat layer, and poor vasculature worsen wound management in obese subjects. In the current study, a multifunctional Caffeine-reinforced collagen biomaterial is developed that can simultaneously modulate lipid metabolism and angiogenesis in obese wound microenvironments for faster tissue regeneration. The biomaterial is fabricated specialized for obese conditions to initiate simultaneous lipolysis and angiogenesis locally in the hypoxic subcutaneous fat in wound margins of obese subjects.

Thermogenic activation via trans-and de novo browning of white adipocytes is a promising strategy to accelerate lipid metabolism for regulating obesity-related disorders. In this study, we investigated the intricate interplay between angiogenic regulation and browning in white adipocytes using the bioactive compound, resveratrol (Rsv). Rsv has previously been documented for its regulatory influence on the trans and de novo browning of white adipocytes.

In the present study, the bioaccumulation of chromium, manganese, cobalt, copper, zinc, selenium, arsenic, strontium, cadmium, tin, antimony and lead in tissues of thirty marine fish species collected from New Ferry Whorf, Sassoon dock and Versova fishing harbour in Mumbai, India, were analysed. The bioaccumulation patterns of these twelve elements were determined to assess pollution biomarkers based on cellular and oxidative stresses. Catalase, superoxide dismutase and glutathione-s-transferase, glycolytic enzymes viz.

Bacillus stercoris MBTDCMFRI Ba37 isolated from mangrove environment of tropical estuarine habitats of Cochin exhibited a wide spectrum of antibacterial activity against major aquaculture pathogens belonging to genus Vibrio and Aeromonas. The structural characterization of the antibacterial compound from this strain may help in identifying their role as a biocontrol agent in aquaculture and allied sectors.
