Aim: To compare and evaluate the efficacy of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) and a vibrational precooling system in reducing pain and anxiety during the administration of local anesthesia in children aged 6-12 years old.

Materials And Methods: A total of 60 children aged 6-12 years old participated in this randomized controlled trial and were randomly allocated to three groups: the conventional method group, the vibrational precooling system group, and the TENS group. Background: Pediatric dental crowns play an integral role as they maintain the form and function and prolong the life of the affected tooth. However, placing a crown in the oral cavity creates a new niche for the adhesion of microorganisms that can lead to plaque accumulation, gingival inflammation, and the development of secondary caries, which in the long term might determine the clinical success of the restored tooth.
