Background: The real-world effectiveness of intravenous (IV) belimumab in treating systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) has been demonstrated in various countries through the OBSErve (evaluation Of use of Belimumab in clinical practice SEttings) program. Here we describe the clinical effectiveness of IV belimumab for treating SLE in real-world clinical practice in the Russian Federation.

Methods: In the retrospective, observational OBSErve Russia study (GSK Study 215349), eligible physicians enrolled adults with SLE receiving IV belimumab as part of their standard care.

The aim of the work was an assessment of the morphological structure and chemical composition of dental hard tissues in persons suffering from chronic kidney disease and the effectiveness of remineralizing therapy in them. The study of the morphological structure and chemical composition of dental hard tissues in individuals suffering from chronic kidney disease and the effectiveness of 6 weeks of remineralizing therapy in the course of individual oral hygiene in combination with the intake of vitamin-mineral complex was conducted by means of ABT-55 electron microscope (Japan) combined with a LinkAN-10 000/S85 microprobe (United Kingdom) in comparison with persons without somatic pathology. It has been established that in people suffering from chronic kidney disease dental hard tissues morphological features were determined by their pathological changes due to carious process or non-carious lesions.

[Immediate results of surgical treatment of complicated colorectal cancer in elderly and senile patients.].

The work analyzes the results of surgical treatment of 545 elderly and senile patients with complicated forms of colon cancer. Among colon cancer complications frequently encountered acute intestinal obstruction (AIO) - 413 (75,8%), less likely to have been identified - perifocal inflammation (PPV) with abscess - 80 (14,7%), bleeding - 30 (5,5 %) and tumor perforation - 22 (4%). Operations on the colon were performed as a traditional method - 408 (74,9%) and with the use of endovideosurgical technologies - 137 (25,1%).

The purpose of our study was to evaluate the parameters of the stabilogram in people over 65 years of age and to identify the parameters of the stabilometric study, which had statistically significant connections with falls and fractures.The study included 308 patients older than 65 years, living in their own homes. Patients with chronic disorders of the joints, in particular the spine, are main consumers of NSAIDs. However, risk factors for side-effects should be taken into consideration in the treatment with NSAIDs, especially in patients of old age.
