Background: At present, although some studies have offered certain insights into the genetic factors related to unruptured intracranial aneurysms (uIAs), the potential genetic targets associated with uIAs remain largely unknown. Thus, this research adopted Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis to study two genome-wide association studies on uIAs, aiming to determine the reliable genetic susceptibility and potential therapeutic targets for uIAs.
Methods: This study summarizes the data of expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL) as exposure data.

Due to their exceptional cell compatibility, biodegradability, and capacity to trigger tissue regeneration, extracellular matrix (ECM) materials have drawn considerable attention in tissue healing and regenerative medicine. Interestingly, these materials undergo continuous degradation and release antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) while simultaneously promoting tissue regeneration, thereby exerting a potent antibacterial effect. On this basis, a variety of basic properties of ECM materials, such as porous adsorption, hydrophilic adsorption, group crosslinking, and electrostatic crosslinking, can be used to facilitate the integration of ECM materials and antibacterial agents through physical and chemical approaches in order to enhance the antibacterial efficacy.

Background: The prognostic value of C-reactive protein (CRP) in patients with bladder cancer (BCa) has been widely analysed; however, the results remain conflicting. Therefore, we performed this meta-analysis to identify the precise role of CRP level in predicting BCa prognosis.
Methods: PubMed, Web of Science, Embase and Cochrane Library databases were comprehensively searched until 19 April 2024.

Aims: Our study aimed to further confirm the clinical significance of the tumour budding activity and cell nest size-based (TBNS) grading scheme in cervical squamous cell carcinomas (SCC).
Methods And Results: We applied the TBNS system to assess the prognostic value in an institutional cohort of well-annotated cervical SCC consisting of 312 consecutive cases with surgical resection, no neoadjuvant chemotherapy and higher than stage pT1a. We found that high budding activity, single cell and TBNS grade 3 were more frequently associated with a decreased overall survival (OS) time and disease-free survival (DFS) time (P < 0.

Aims: The objective of this study is to ascertain the suitability of haemoglobin as a screening factor for falls among obstetrics and gynaecology inpatients and to formulate a stratified scheme for assessing fall risk based on haemoglobin.
Design: A retrospective analysis and Delphi surveys were employed for this investigation.
Methods: Initially, a retrospective survey analysed falls among obstetrics and gynaecology inpatients in two hospitals from January 1, 2020, to July 10, 2022.

Endometrial carcinoma (EC) is one of the most common gynecological malignant tumors, but its underlying pathogenic mechanisms are largely obscure. Interleukin-22 (IL-22), one cytokine in the tumor immune microenvironment, was reported to be associated with carcinoma progression. Here, we aimed to investigate the regulation of IL-22 in endometrial carcinoma.

Objective: To investigate the molecular mechanism by which capecitabine regulates the proliferation and apoptosis of ovarian cancer SKOV3 cells through the miR-29b-3p/MMP16 axis.
Methods: SKOV3 ovarian cancer cells were treated with capecitabine, miR-29b-3p mimics, miR-29b-3p inhibitor, and MMP16 siRNA. Cell proliferation was measured using the CCK-8 assay, and apoptosis was assessed by flow cytometry.

Secondary upper limb lymphedema is easy to occur after breast cancer surgery, for which treatment is limited. 9-cis-retinoic acid (9-cisRA) has been demonstrated to increase lymphangiogenesis without enhancing tumor metastasis but has the disadvantages of poor water solubility, easy decomposition in light, unstable to heat, and short half-life. Based on this, 9-cisRA-Lip with a particle size of roughly 143 nm and high dispersibility was prepared by thin-film dispersion method and verified by Malvern Laser Particle Size Analyzer and electron microscopy.

Quick and accurate structural damage detection is essential for maintaining the safety and integrity of infrastructure, especially following natural disasters. Traditional methods of damage assessment, which rely on manual inspections, can be labor-intensive and subject to human error. This paper introduces a hybrid deep learning model that combines the capabilities of ResNet50 and GoogLeNet, further enhanced by a convolutional block attention module (CBAM), proposed to improve both the accuracy and performance in detecting structural damage.
