Intranasal corticosteroid drugs are widely used in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). In contrast to classical delivery with nasal pump sprays, pulsating aerosols can deliver significant doses into superior and posterior sinonasal spaces. A case-control study was designed to assess the efficacy of corticosteroid transnasal nebulization on short-term mucosal recovery and quality of life (QoL) following endoscopic sinus surgery in CRSwNP.

Background: The European Association of Urology risk stratification dichotomizes patients with upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) into two risk categories.
Objective: To evaluate the predictive value of a new classification to better risk stratify patients eligible for kidney-sparing surgery (KSS).
Design, Setting, And Participants: This was a retrospective study including 1214 patients from 21 centers who underwent ureterorenoscopy (URS) with biopsy followed by radical nephroureterectomy (RNU) for nonmetastatic UTUC between 2000 and 2017.

Introduction And Hypothesis: Using similar methodologies and outcome measures is crucial to allow pertinent literature reviews and meta-analyses. Therefore, this scoping review aims to compare methodologies of randomized clinical trials (RCTs) assessing the efficacy of third-line therapies to treat non-neurogenic OAB: intradetrusor onabotulinumtoxinA (BoNTA) injections, sacral neuromodulation (SNM) and posterior tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS).
Methods: A literature search was conducted using the PubMed search database.

Eosinophils are often considered as the pathologic landmark of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). Many studies emphasize their pivotal role in mucosal remodeling by their innate action via cytotoxic proteins degranulation. Eosinophil nasal recruitment from the bloodstream through endothelium diapedeses requires the intricate action between the nasal epithelium, epithelial cell-activated type 2 innate lymphoid cells, and adaptive immune cells secreting alarmins, cytokines, and specific chemokines.

Background: Patients with diffuse cutaneous systemic sclerosis (dcSSc) have a poor prognosis. The importance of monitoring subjective measures of functioning and disability, such as the Health Assessment Questionnaire-Disability Index (HAQ-DI), is important as dcSSc is rated by patients as worse than diabetes or hemodialysis for quality of life impairment. This European Scleroderma Trials and Research (EUSTAR) database analysis was undertaken to examine the importance of impaired functionality in dcSSc prognosis.

There are numerous applications in craniofacial surgery with orbital volume (OV) modification. The careful management of the OV is fundamental to obtain good esthetic and functional results in orbital surgery. With the growth of computer-aided design - computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) technologies, patient-specific implants and custom-made reconstruction are being used increasingly.

Purpose: Radiotherapy (RT), as part of trimodal therapy, is an attractive alternative treatment in patients with urothelial muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). There is accumulating evidence suggesting the immunomodulatory effects of RT and its potential synergy when combined with immunotherapy. The aim of this review was to report on the most recent advances on this combination, including the mechanisms of RT immunomodulation, practical approach to combining RT and immunotherapy, and ongoing clinical trials in bladder cancer.

Colon cancer (CC) has the highest incidence rate among gastrointestinal cancers and ranks the third in mortality among all cancers, which contributes to the current CC burden and constitutes a major public health issue. While therapeutic strategies for stage I, III, and IV CC are standardized, those for stage II CC remain debatable. The choice of adjuvant chemotherapy for patients with stage II CC depends on stage (pT4) and grade (high) of the disease, the presence of venous, perinervous, and/or lymphatic emboli, or the need of suboptimal surgery (tumor with initial occlusion or perforation needing emergency surgeries, <12 lymph nodes harvested).

Neoplastic gallbladder polyps (NGP) are rare; the prevalence in the overall population is less than 10%. NGP are associated with a risk of malignant degeneration and must be distinguished from other benign gallbladder polypoid lesions that occur more frequently. NGP are adenomas and the main risk associated with their management is to fail to detect their progression to gallbladder cancer, which is associated with a particular poor prognosis.
