Research has shown the positive effects of positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) on student outcomes. Despite its effectiveness, there is limited research on the cultural adaptation of PBIS in other cultures, especially in Asia. Based on cultural adaptation frameworks, the current case study reports the cultural adaptation and implementation process of PBIS Tier 1 in a Chinese elementary school, including the steps and strategies in its engagement, design, and implementation.

In recent years, "black swan" events have increasingly occurred across climate, epidemics, geopolitics, and economics, leading to a gradual coupling of different types of risk. Different from isolated shocks as a single type of risk affecting a specific industry, a nexus of risks allows one risk area to quickly relate to others, resulting in more catastrophic impacts. Utilizing an integrated framework, we investigate the contagion effects among climate policy uncertainty, the infectious disease equity market volatility tracker, geopolitical risk, and economic policy uncertainty using volatility, skewness, and kurtosis as risk measures.

Named entity recognition (NER) is a crucial task in natural language processing, particularly challenging in the legal domain due to the intricate and lengthy nature of legal entities. Existing methods often struggle with accurately identifying entity boundaries and types in legal texts. To address these challenges, we propose a novel sequence-to-sequence framework designed specifically for the legal domain.

Due to the periodic emission of pollutants, the exposure mode of contaminants in water bodies is mostly pulse exposure, and the toxic effects of fluctuating exposure on aquatic animals are not consistent with traditional toxicological experiments of constant exposure. The toxic effects of heavy metal antimony (Sb) on the swimming behavior of Pelophylax nigromaculatus tadpoles after pulse exposure (PESb) and continuous exposure (CESb) for 28 days were explored. The mechanisms were analyzed from the perspectives of tail muscle metabolism and transcriptomics.

The taxonomy of the superfamily Evanioidea from China has long been neglected, and the current status of their classification inhibits further research on their biology. This catalog updates and documents the genus- and species-level taxonomy for both extant and extinct species of the superfamily Evanioidea recorded from China, while providing information on type depositories and distributional data. Results from an extensive review of literatures, including host records and taxonomic notes, are also provided.

Background: Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD), formerly known as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), is becoming the most common chronic liver disease. The gut microbiome is regarded to play a crucial role in MAFLD, but the specific changes of gut microbiome, especially fungi, in different stages of MAFLD are not well understood. This study aimed to observe the longitudinal changes of colon bacteria and fungi of mice at different feeding duration of a high-fat and high-fructose diet (HFHFD), and explore the association between the changes and the progression of MAFLD.

Background: Individuals of reproductive age with cancer may experience reproductive concerns (RCs) due to impaired fertility and disrupted family planning, which can negatively impact their quality of life and psychological well-being. There is limited research on interventions that mitigate the negative effects of RCs among individuals with cancer.
Objective: This systematic review aimed to identify and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions developed to mitigate RCs among individuals with cancer.

DNA computing circuits are favored by researchers because of their high density, high parallelism, and biocompatibility. However, compared with electronic circuits, current DNA circuits have significant errors in understanding the OFF state and logic "0". Nowadays, DNA circuits only have two input states: logic "0" and logic "1", where logic "0" also means the OFF state.

Time series analysis predicts the future based on existing historical data and has a wide range of applications in finance, economics, meteorology, biology, engineering, and other fields. Although the combination of decomposition techniques and machine learning algorithms can effectively solve the problem of predicting nonstationary sequences, this kind of decomposition-integration-prediction strategy of the prediction method has serious defects. After the decomposition of the division of the training set and the test set, the information of the test set in the process of decomposition of the information leakage ultimately shows a high accuracy of the prediction of the illusionary.

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a malignant tumor that poses a significant threat to human health due to rising incidence and mortality rates. In recent years, immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) therapy, represented by Programmed death receptor 1 (PD-1), T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4), and others, has been widely applied in CRC and has achieved encouraging results in some patients and has become a hot topic in both clinical and basic research.
Objective: This study undertakes a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of ICB research in CRC, aiming to evaluate the current status, identify future trends, and provide scientific insights for researchers and decision-makers.

This study aimed to explore the pathogenesis of platycodin D and luteolin, which are both active components in Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix), in the treatment of influenza virus pneumonia through network pharmacology analysis combined with experimental verification. The bioactive components of Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix) were screened by TCMSP and literature mining, and the results were standardized via the UniProt database. The action targets for the disease were identified from databases including OMIM, GeneCards, TTD, DisGeNET, and PharmGKB.

Mature microRNAs play crucial roles in tumorigenesis and progression. However, their potential as cancer biomarkers is limited by the sequence interference of precursor microRNAs and the occurrence of false positive signals mediated by single microRNAs. Herein, we reported a dual mature microRNA-responsive second-order (YES-AND) logic biosensing platform for accurate cancer diagnosis.

The conservation and sustainable development of traditional villages have raised global attention in the context of rapid urbanization and modernization. Taking 703 traditional villages in Hunan Province as an example, this study first constructed a Traditional Village Human Settlement Suitability (TVHSS) evaluation system based on the Pressure-State-Response (PSR) model. Then, the entropy weighting method was used to assess the spatiotemporal evolution of TVHSS from 2005 to 2020, while the Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) model was employed to analyze the influencing factors.
