During the iterative process of the progressive iterative approximation, it is necessary to calculate the difference between the current interpolation curve and the corresponding data points, known as the adjustment vector. To achieve more precise adjustments of control points, this paper decomposes the adjustment vector into its coordinate components and introduces a weight for each component. By dynamically adjusting these weights, we can accelerate the convergence of iterations and enhance approximation accuracy.

Background: Cancer pain is a prevalent and persistent issue, and while there have been some observations of the possible benefits of acupuncture in managing cancer pain, there is still debate regarding its safety and effectiveness. This study aims to compare the efficacy and safety of different acupuncture modalities in the treatment of cancer pain through a network meta-analysis.
Methods: Between the time each database was created and June 3, 2024, eight databases were queried: PubMed, Cochrane, Embase, Web of Science, CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, and China Biomedicine.

In (Dai et al. 2023), the authors proposed a fast algorithm for surface reconstruction that converges rapidly from point cloud data by alternating Anderson extrapolation with implicit progressive iterative approximation (I-PIA). This algorithm employs a fixed step size during iterations to enhance convergence.

The change in the three-dimensional (3D) structure of a protein can affect its own function or interaction with other protein(s), which may lead to disease(s). Gene mutations, especially missense mutations, are the main cause of changes in protein structure. Due to the lack of protein crystal structure data, about three-quarters of human mutant proteins cannot be predicted or accurately predicted, and the pathogenicity of missense mutations can only be indirectly evaluated by evolutionary conservation.

Antimony (Sb) contamination in paddy fields can lead to its accumulation in rice grains, posing a threat to food safety. To address this issue, the combined use of zero-valent iron (ZVI) and biochar (BC) were applied to decrease the uptake of Sb in Sb-polluted soils, and their effects on Sb uptake from soil to rice grains were investigated. Our results showed that the combination treatment of 0.

The study analyzed the spatial distribution characteristics, evolution rules, and driving factors of 138 China's national agricultural cultural heritage sites from 2013 to 2021 at the overall and regional levels, using kernel density analysis, Centres for standard deviation ellipse analyses, spatial autocorrelation analysis, and geographical detector analysis. The results showed that: ①From an overall perspective, the spatial pattern of China's national agricultural cultural heritage changed greatly from 2013 to 2021, with a highly uneven spatial distribution, gradually showing a distribution pattern of "widely distributed, locally concentrated". The spatial distribution of China's national agricultural cultural heritage is increasingly evident, and the spatial distribution type has evolved from discrete to clustered.

Background: Pathogenic bacteria are widespread in nature and can cause infections and various complications, thereby posing a severe risk to public health. Therefore, simple, rapid, sensitive, and cost-effective methods must be developed to detect pathogenic bacteria. Biosensors are prominent platforms for detecting pathogenic bacteria owing to their high sensitivity, specificity, repeatability, and stability.

Although cross-sectional studies have explored the correlation between envy and loneliness, few longitudinal studies have investigated the bidirectional association between envy and loneliness at both trait and state levels. Here, through a longitudinal study and a daily diary investigation, we examined the interrelationships between envy and loneliness at both trait and state levels. In study 1, 288 college students answered the Dispositional Envy Scale (DES) and UCLA Loneliness Scale (UCL-8 Scale) twice with a one-year interval.

Neuroepithelial cell transforming gene 1 (NET1) is a member of the Ras homologue family member A (RhoA) subfamily of guanine nucleotide exchange factors and a key protein involved in the activation of Rho guanosine triphosphatases, which act as regulators of cell proliferation, cytoskeletal organization, and cell movement and are crucial for cancer spread. Research has shown that NET1 can regulate the malignant biological functions of tumour cells, such as growth, invasion, and metastasis, and it is closely related to the progression of pancreatic cancer, gastric cancer, and liver cancer. However, the comprehensive role and mechanistic function of NET1 in other types of cancer remain largely unexplored.

Aims: Previous studies suggested that structural and functional connectivity of right frontotemporal circuits associate with music perception. Emerging evidences demonstrated that structure-function coupling is important for cognition and may allow for a more sensitive investigation of brain-behavior association, while we know little about the relationship between structure-function coupling and music perception.
Methods: We collected multimodal neuroimaging data from 106 participants and measured their music perception by Montreal Battery of Evaluation of Amusia (MBEA).
