High performance liquid chromatography-ultraviolet(HPLC-UV) fingerprint is one of the most important methods for the quality control of Chinese medicines in Chinese Pharmacopoeia. However, certain subjectivity is present in selection of specific band of UV, and the inherent quality differences of Chinese medicine can't be well characterized by this method. Therefore, with different grades of Scrophulariae Radix were taken as the research object in this study, a new quality control model of HPLC-UV was established in this study based on the ultraviolet full-wavelength scanning spectrum.

Effective detection of biomolecules is important for biological research and medical diagnosis. We here propose a ligation-triggered and protein-assisted fluorescence anisotropy amplification platform for sensitive and selective detection of small biomolecules in a complex biological matrix. In the proposed method, in the presence of target small molecules, FAM-labeled DNA 1 and biotin-labeled DNA2 were ligated to produce an integrated DNA.

Based on the characteristics of biological supramolecules and the law of " imprinting template",the research status and common problems in " maintaining medicinal properties after carbonisatus" in traditional Chinese medicine( TCM) were analyzed, and the further countermeasures were put forward. According to the historical evolution of " maintaining medicinal properties after carbonisatus" in TCM processing, the origin of its common problems was clarified by using the theory of biosupramolecular chemistry. TCM is a megacomplex biological supramolecular system,so TCM processing is just the processing of megacomplex biological supramolecular system, and its essence is a TCM pharmaceutical technology with chemical changes in host and guest of biological supramolecular system with or without adjuvant material under high temperature and humidity.

The medication rules of combination of traditional Chinese medicine( TCM) and Western medicine in treating Helicobacter pylori-related gastropathy are analyzed to provide reference for clinical Helicobacter pylori-related gastropathy. Relevant literatures on integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori-related gastropathy were collected in CNKI,Wan Fang,VIP and CBM. Excel software and traditional Chinese medicine inheritance support system were used to establish a prescription database for data mining and analysis of the medication rules.

Pelvic inflammatory disease( PID) rat model was induced by the mixture of Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus, and Streptococcus hemolytic-β. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry( GC-MS) based metabolic profiling method was combined with multivariate statistical analysis, such as PCA,PLS-DA and OPLS-DA to analyze endogenous small molecule metabolites in serum of rats after treatment of Fuke Qianjin Capsules. The results showed that Fuke Qianjin Capsules could significantly improve the inflammatory pathological characteristics and tissue damages in model rats. Based on the principle of VIP>1 and P<0.

The tumor variability and low efficiency associated with conventional chemical drugs provide an impetus to develop drug-carrying systems with targeted accumulation and controllable release behavior. Herein, DOX-loaded Prussian blue (PB) nano-composites are developed after coating with erythrocyte membrane (EM) and modifying with folic acid (FA). In these nano-composites, PB nanoparticles mixture with different shapes were adopted to improve the photothermal performance, which is highly helpful for cancer photothermal ablation and controllable drug release.

To analyze the academic characteristics and medication rules of traditional Chinese medical master Liu Zu-yi for treating insomnia. Totally 178 cases of insomnia treated by Professor Liu were collected, and the treatment data were input into traditional Chinese medicine inheritance support system( TCMISS) by using data mining methods, such as essential information, frequency statistics of symptoms, syndrome type statistics, extraction of syndrome elements, frequency statistics of drugs; and four properties and five tastes of drugs, distribution of meridians, regularity of prescriptions, new prescription analysis were mined. It was found that the most commonly used drugs( over 100 times) were Albiziae Cortex,Longgu,Polygoni Multiflori Caulis,Ostreae Concha,Ziziphi Spinosae Semen,Crataegi Fructus; the commonly used couplet medicines were Longgu-Ostreae Concha,Ziziphi Spinosae Semen-Polygoni Multiflori Caulis,Ziziphi Spinosae Semen-Albiziae Cortex-Polygoni Multiflori Caulis; and seven new prescriptions in treating insomnia were explored, such as prescriptions containing Hordei Fructus Germinatus,Ziziphi Spinosae Semen,Galli Gigerii Endothelium Corneum,Rehmanniae Radix,Lilii Bulbus.

In this paper, immune fingerprint was used to screen the allergenic components of Shuanghuanglian Injection(SHLI) by enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay(ELISA) combined with HPLC/MS method. ELISA-embedded anti-IgE antibody could successfully adsorb allergens in SHLI and its plasma samples containing drugs through different routes of administration, suggesting that SHLI can induce type I hypersensitivity in rats. HPLC fingerprints and MS map of SHLI and drug-containing plasma samples from different routes of administration before and after anti-IgE antibody adsorption were established.

Article Synopsis
  • Chinese medicine is complex, mostly derived from plants or animals, and features unique chromatographic fingerprints that reflect its dynamic components.
  • A new mathematical model based on total quantum statistical moment (TQSM) has been developed to study the pharmacokinetics of multiple components in Chinese medicine, using Buyang Huanwu Decoction as a test case.
  • Key metabolic parameters were determined, indicating that 95% of the compounds are metabolized and eliminated from the body within approximately 96 hours, validating the effectiveness of the TQSM model in understanding the medicine's dynamics.

Article Synopsis
  • Three new compounds, neo-debromoaplysiatoxin D, oscillatoxin E, and oscillatoxin F, were discovered from a marine cyanobacterium, along with four known analogues.
  • The new compounds are classified based on their structural differences: aplysiatoxins have tricyclic ring systems while oscillatoxins have a unique spirobicyclic structure.
  • Bioactivity tests revealed that the aplysiatoxins significantly activated a protein kinase, while oscillatoxins displayed strong blocking effects on a potassium channel, with detailed binding analysis highlighting the affinity of oscillatoxin E.

(POL) is a traditional Chinese medicine and also an edible vegetable used to treat diarrhea in china for thousands years. Though the therapeutic effect has been proved in clinical trials, the concrete effective component and mechanisms remained elusive. Polysaccharide from POL has been extracted previously and the experiment suggested that POLP could diminish the weight loss and improve the health conditions of mice with DSS induced colitis.
