Research on the evolutionary behavior of the particle breakage processes in coarse-grained soil under the action of train load is of practical significance for subgrade construction and maintenance. However, existing studies have not addressed the prediction of particle size distribution evolution. In this paper, the MTS loading system is used to simulate the dynamic train load effect on coarse-grained soil fillers.

Unbound permeable aggregate base (UPAB) materials with strong load-transmitting skeleton yet adequate inter-connected pores are desired for use in the sponge-city initiative. However, the micro-scale fabric evolution and instability mechanism of macroscopic strength behavior of such UPAB materials still remain unclear. In this study, virtual monotonic triaxial compression tests were conducted by using the discrete element method (DEM) modeling approach on specimens with different gradations quantified by the parameter of gravel-to-sand ratio (G/S).

Rail fasteners are among the key components of ballasted track of high-speed railway due to their functionality of fixing rails to sleepers. The failure of rail fastening system hinders the transmission of train loads to underlying track substructure and therefore endangers the operation safety and longevity of ballasted track. This paper first established a three-dimensional (3D) numerical model of the train-ballasted track-subgrade coupling system by integrating multibody dynamics (MBD) and finite element method (FEM).

In this paper, by using the Beurling-Nevanlinna type inequality we obtain new results on the existence of solutions of the Dirichlet problem with respect to the Schrödinger-prey operator. Meanwhile, the local stability of the Schrödingerean equilibrium and endemic equilibrium of the model are also discussed. We specially analyze the existence and stability of the Schrödingerean Hopf bifurcation by using the center manifold theorem and bifurcation theory.
