Objective: Hepatoblastoma (HB) is the most commonly seen pediatric liver malignancy. The preliminary experiment of our research group found that cyclin dependent kinase 1 (CDK1) was upregulated in HB. By in silico analysis, long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) HAND2 antisense RNA 1 (HAND2-AS1) was determined as the research object.

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs), a group of proteins that control gene expression, have been implicated in many post-transcriptional processes. SYNCRIP (also known as hnRNP Q), a subtype of hnRNPs, has been reported to be involved in mRNA splicing and translation. In addition, the deregulation of SYNCRIP was found in colorectal cancer (CRC).

Background: Patients with rheumatoid arthritis-associated interstitial lung disease (RA-ILD) are characterized by severe pulmonary fibrosis and immune dysregulation. Heat shock protein 90 (HSP90) is involved in the progression of pulmonary fibrosis and the immune response.
Objectives: This study aimed to explore whether HSP90 regulates the development of RA-ILD and its underlying mechanism.

Objectives: This study aimed to explore the performance of a model based on Chinese Thyroid Imaging Reporting and Data Systems (C-TIRADS), clinical characteristics, and shear wave elastography (SWE) for the prediction of Bethesda I thyroid nodules before fine needle aspiration (FNA).
Materials And Methods: A total of 267 thyroid nodules from 267 patients were enrolled. Ultrasound and SWE were performed for all nodules before FNA.

Purpose: The outcome between Lenvatinib plus programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) inhibitor and Lenvatinib in HCC beyond oligometastasis was unclear. In this multicenter, we compared the prognosis of Lenvatinib plus PD-1 inhibitor with Lenvatinib in HCC beyond oligometastasis.
Patients And Methods: A total of 296 patients from six institutions were included.

A 2-year-and-10-month-old boy presented with multiple masses in the neck and chest for over 3 months. The child had a history of unstable walking, with hard lumps visible at the injury sites after falls, which would resolve on their own. Following a recent injury, a mass was discovered in the posterior neck, protruding above the skin surface and accompanied by limited joint movement.

Background: The pathogenesis exploration and timely intervention of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) are crucial due to its global impact on human health. As a general tumor biomarker, stanniocalcin 2 (STC2), its role in HCC remains unclear. We aimed to analyze the effect and mechanism of STC2 on HCC.

Objective: Nondisplaced femoral neck fractures constitute a substantial portion of these injuries. The optimal treatment strategy between internal fixation (IF) and hemiarthroplasty (HA) remains debated, particularly concerning cost-effectiveness.
Methods: We conducted a cost-effectiveness analysis using a Markov decision model to compare HA and IF in treating nondisplaced femoral neck fractures in elderly patients in China.

Background: Vasculogenic mimicry (VM) is a potential cause of resistance to antiangiogenic therapy and is closely related to the malignant progression of tumors. It has been shown that noncoding RNAs play an important role in the formation of VM in malignant tumors. However, the role of circRNAs in VM of bladder cancer and the regulatory mechanisms are unclear.

Although the survival of patients with transfusion-dependent thalassemia (TD-TM) is reportedly inferior after haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), the heterogeneity of transplantation approaches in studies suggests the need to assess the effect of conditioning regimen on matched and haploidentical transplantation outcomes. A novel post-transplantation cyclophosphamide (PTCy)-based approach for patients with TD-TM undergoing haploidentical HSCT was reported in our prior study. Here we aimed to retrospectively evaluate the real-world efficacy and safety of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) prophylaxis in patients with TD-TM after HSCT from matched donors and haploidentical donors (HIDs).

Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a leading cause of end-stage renal disease in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). This meta-analysis aims to evaluate the association between the triglyceride glucose (TyG) index, a novel marker reflecting insulin resistance, and the risk of developing DN in patients with T2DM. We conducted a comprehensive literature search in PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science databases up to May 12, 2024.

Splenic ectopic pregnancy refers to the implantation of fertilized ovum in the spleen, which occurs extremely rare. Due to the abundance of splenic blood and its fragile texture, the lethality of ruptured hemorrhage in splenic ectopic pregnancy is higher than that of other ectopic pregnancies. Hence, prompt diagnosis and treatment are critical.

Background: Observational researches have suggested a connection between iron deficiency anemia (IDA) and an increased likelihood of ischemic stroke (IS), yet establishing causality is challenging owing to the inherent limitations of such studies, including their vulnerability to confounding factors and the potential for reverse causation. This study employs a bidirectional two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) approach to assess the causal linkage between IDA and IS and its subtypes.
Methods: Identifiable single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) with significant links to either IDA or IS and its subtypes were employed as instrumental variables (IVs).
Aims: Narrative nursing (NN) is a crucial component of modern medical humanistic care. It involves utilising storytelling as a means to guide nurses in devising future interventions for patients, and help patients in reconstructing positive psychological defences. The willingness of clinical nurses to engage in narrative nursing holds significant implications for both effective communication and the overall quality of care.
