SuperFeat: Quantitative Feature Learning from Single-cell RNA-seq Data Facilitates Drug Repurposing.

In this study, we devised a computational framework called Supervised Feature Learning and Scoring (SuperFeat) which enables the training of a machine learning model and evaluates the canonical cellular statuses/features in pathological tissues that underlie the progression of disease. This framework also enables the identification of potential drugs that target the presumed detrimental cellular features. This framework was constructed on the basis of an artificial neural network with the gene expression profiles serving as input nodes.

Objective: To identify risk factors for postoperative delirium in adult patients undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass.

Methods: The medical records of 214 patients who underwent cardiopulmonary bypass at the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan Normal University from January 2022 to January 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. Based on the occurrence of postoperative delirium, patients were divided into a delirium group (49 cases) and a non-delirium group (165 cases).

Objective: We herein propose a novel approach, laparoscopic segmental colectomy with extensive D3 lymph node dissection (ED3LND), for right-sided transverse colon cancer (TCC).

Methods: Forty-two patients with right-sided TCC were randomly assigned to two groups: Group 1 (segmental colectomy with D3LND) and Group 2 (segmental colectomy with ED3LND). Clinical characteristics, surgical and pathological outcomes, and oncological outcomes were retrospectively compared between the two groups.

We aimed to conduct a prospective multicenter study to explore and identify the imaging biomarkers for predicting the anti-VEGF treatment response in PCV patients, establish predictive model, and undergo multicenter validation.
