This study explored the causal relationships among primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), ulcerative colitis (UC), and hepatobiliary cancer (HBC) by using bidirectional two-sample, two-step Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis. Genetic variants associated with PSC and UC from the FinnGen research database were used for instrumental variable-based analyses. Objectives: This study aimed to explore the association of perioperative geriatric management (PGM) in major orthopedic surgeries.
Methods: One hundred seventy-five participants aged 75 and older were in-hospital patients who underwent major orthopedic surgery from September 2020 to September 2021, and they received PGM and necessary treatment for indicators with abnormal value (the PGM group). Another 175 participants in the control group only received the evaluation part of the PGM, recruited by filtering in the electronic medical record system from March 2016 to March 2017.

Methods: From January 2020 to December 2022, 25 patients with labia minora hypertrophy underwent surgical treatment using a modified mucosal advancement flap combined with a de-epithelialized mucosal flap for labia minora reduction. Postoperative follow-up ranged from 3 to 12 months.

To investigate whether Tasquinimod can influence cisplatin resistance in drug-resistant ovarian cancer (OC) cell lines by regulating histone deacetylase 4 (HDAC4) or p21, we explored its effects on the cell cycle, and associated mechanisms. RT-PCR and Western blot analyses, flow cytometry, CCK8 assay, and immunofluorescence were utilized to investigate the effects of Tasquinimod on gene expression, cell cycle, apoptosis, viability, and protein levels in OC cells. The results showed that Tasquinimod inhibited cell viability and promoted apoptosis in SKOV3/DDP (cisplatin) and A2780/DDP cells more effectively than DDP alone.

This framework was constructed on the basis of an artificial neural network with the gene expression profiles serving as input nodes.

Objective: To identify risk factors for postoperative delirium in adult patients undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass.
Methods: The medical records of 214 patients who underwent cardiopulmonary bypass at the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan Normal University from January 2022 to January 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. Based on the occurrence of postoperative delirium, patients were divided into a delirium group (49 cases) and a non-delirium group (165 cases).
