Scandium (Sc) can orderly occupy interstitial sites within the Ω phase of aluminum alloys, forming a new phase that significantly enhances the thermal stability of the alloy. However, Sc is relatively expensive and rare. In this work, we employ first-principles calculations to delve into the physical essence interstitial ordering of Sc in enhancing thermal stability at the electronic level, thereby revealing the crucial factors responsible for this improvement.

A universal and green catalytic system for the hydrogenation of unsaturated aldehydes and ketones into the corresponding alcohols with the CC bonds retained under atmospheric hydrogen pressure in the water phase was realized by -functionalized amino ligand-stabilized ruthenium complexes (-PPhCHNHMe)[(CHNHR)]RuCl (R = H, Me, Et) and (-PPhCHNMe)[(CHNHEt)]RuCl with wide substrate compatibility and excellent functionality tolerance. The structural synergism between -PPhCHNHMe and (CHNHEt) achieves the enhanced performance, with a positive correlation with the electron density of the amino ligand.

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) constitutes approximately 75-85% of primary liver cancers and is a heavy burden on public health. Many innovative prediction systems have integrated radiomics, artificial intelligence, pathological information, or even genetic information for the stratification and prognosis prediction of patients with HCC. However, these systems still lack practical and clinical applications.

Aging of the human brain involves intricate biological processes, resulting in complex changes in structure and function. While the effects of aging on gray matter (GM) connectivity are extensively studied, white matter (WM) functional changes have received comparatively less attention. This study examines age-related WM functional dynamics using resting-state fMRI across the adult lifespan.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a major global health concern that accounts for more than 80% of all primary hepatic carcinomas. The long noncoding RNA FGD5 antisense RNA 1 (FGD5-AS1) has been linked to HCC cell stemness and proliferation. However, the exact function of FGD5-AS1 in HCC remains unclear.

Background: Extraskeletal Ewing's sarcoma (EES) is a rare tumor, and there is currently no predictive model for overall survival of EES patients. This study sought to use data from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database to develop a clinical predictive model that could be used to assess the prognosis of EES patients.
Methods: We selected and downloaded prognostic data on 356 patients diagnosed with extraskeletal Ewing's sarcoma based on screening criteria, These patients were distributed between 2004 and 2015.

Background: While previous studies have explored the associations and causalities among platelet count (PC), mean platelet volume (MPV), and erectile dysfunction (ED), further investigations are needed to clarify these relationships using advanced methodologies and analyzing specific populations.
Aim: To investigate the associations and causalities among PC, MPV, and ED using observational study and Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis.
Methods: A total of 114 patients with ED and 158 healthy control participants underwent a fasting blood draw to test for PC and MPV along with a comprehensive laboratory examination.

The integration of reactive oxygen species (ROS) related photodynamic therapy (PDT) with the strategy of reshaping the tumor microenvironment (TME) has emerged as a potential approach for nanodiagnostic and therapeutic interventions. However, the therapeutic efficacy based on ROS treatments may be hindered by intracellular antioxidants such as glutathione (GSH) and tumor hypoxia. To address these challenges, a nanoplatform based on GSH-responsive multifunctional porphyrinic metal-organic framework (PCN-224@Au@MnO@HA, PAMH) was proposed.

Early detection of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is particularly important given its insidious qualities and the high cost of the diagnostic process. Currently, static functional connectivity studies have achieved significant results in the field of ASD detection. However, with the deepening of clinical research, more and more evidence suggests that dynamic functional connectivity analysis can more comprehensively reveal the complex and variable characteristics of brain networks and their underlying mechanisms, thus providing more solid scientific support for computer-aided diagnosis of ASD.

In recent years, circular RNAs (circRNAs) have garnered significant attention due to their unique structure and function, positioning them as promising candidates for next-generation vaccines. The circRNA vaccine, as an RNA vaccine, offers significant advantages in preventing infectious diseases by serving as a vector for protein expression through non-canonical translation. Notably, circRNA vaccines have demonstrated enduring antigenic expression and generate a larger percentage of neutralizing antibodies compared to mRNA vaccines administered at the same dosage.

Fluorogenic RNA aptamers have various applications, including use as fluorescent tags for imaging RNA trafficking and as indicators of RNA-based sensors that exhibit fluorescence upon binding small-molecule fluorophores in living cells. Current fluorogenic RNA:fluorophore complexes typically emit visible fluorescence. However, it is challenging to develop fluorogenic RNA with near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence for in vivo imaging and sensing studies.
