Purpose: Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most common and deadly brain tumor. We aimed to reveal potential prognostic GBM marker genes, elaborate their functions, and build an effective a prognostic model for GBM patients.
Methods: Through data mining of The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and the Chinese Glioma Genome Atlas (CGGA), we screened for significantly differentially expressed genes (DEGs) to calculate risk scores for individual patients.

Osteosarcoma (OS) is an aggressive malignant tumor with a high rate of lung metastasis and a lack of therapeutic targets. Although the anomalous expression of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) has been extensively documented in human cancer, its contribution to OS metastasis remains poorly understood. In this study, we found that MIR205 host gene (MIR205HG) was significantly elevated in human OS tissues, especially in metastatic OS tissues.

Aim: The co-expression network of long non-coding RNA ROR (lncRNA-ROR) and microRNA-185-3p (miR-185-3p) has not been focused on osteosarcoma. Therein, this work was initiated to uncover lncRNA-ROR and miR-185-3p functions in osteosarcoma.
Methods: LncRNA-ROR, miR-185-3p and Yes-associated protein 1 (YAP1) expression in osteosarcoma tissues and cells were detected.

Background: Patients diagnosed with schizophrenia were found having lower risks to develop cancers, including glioma. Based on this epidemiology, we hypothesized that there were gene profiles playing opposite roles in pathogenesis of schizophrenia and glioma.
Methods: Based on GEO datasets and TCGA, key genes of schizophrenia genes on the opposite development of glioma were screened by different expressed genes (DEGs) screening, weighted gene coexpression network analysis (WGCNA), disease-specific survival (DSS), and glioma grading and verified by gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA).

Stiff limb syndrome (SLS) is a rare autoimmune-related central nervous system disorder, resulting in stiffness and spasms of limbs since onset with rare involvement of the truncal muscles. However, SLS patients will gain notable effects by appropriate therapy focusing on symptomatic treatment and immunotherapy. We reported on a 55-year-old female who showed typical painful spasms in both lower limbs and abduction of the right eyeball that partially responded to low-dose diazepam and had high-titer anti-glutamic acid decarboxylase (anti-GAD) antibody.

RNA interference (RNAi) technology can specifically silence the expression of a target gene and has emerged as a promising therapeutic method to treat cancer. In the present study, we showed that natural halloysite nanotube (HNT)-assisted delivery of an active small interfering RNA (siRNA) targeting receptor-interacting protein kinase 4 ( ) efficiently silenced its expression to treat bladder cancer. The HNTs/siRNA complex increased the serum stability of the siRNA, increased its circulation lifetime in blood, and promoted the cellular uptake and tumor accumulation of the siRNA.

Considering the crucial significance of the tumor microenvironment in cancer development and progression, the present study aimed to investigate the changes in macrophages and angiogenesis during the cervical cancer (CC) progression process from chronic cervicitis to cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grades I-III (CIN I-III) to CC.
