Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) is one of the most common chronic complications of diabetes. As a new detection method for DPN, corneal confocal microscopy (CCM) is characterised by rapid, non-invasive, sensitive, and quantitative characteristics, as well as good repeatability. By detecting changes in the corneal nerves, DPN can be diagnosed early, and the severity of neuropathy evaluated.

Methods: This study conducted a comprehensive evaluation of 114 participants from Hulunbuir between January 2020 and December 2021. The participants included healthy controls, Mongolian and Han patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

By assessing a case of ankylosing spondylitis (AS) after thoracic lumbar protrusion deformity in a digital model and verifying its effectiveness after surgery for orthopaedic surgery process simulation, a finite element model was established for biomechanical experiments. A 56-year-old patient with AS underwent preoperative thoracic lumbar spine computed tomography. The data were reconstructed using MIMICS16.

Objective: The aim of the present study was to detect the association between platelet glycoprotein-specific autoantibodies and the patient response to short-term high-dose dexamethasone (HD-DXM) + prednisone maintenance treatment.
Methods: The data from 112 adult patients newly diagnosed with ITP who were administered first-line HD-DXM + prednisone maintenance therapy between January 2016 and January 2021 were retrospectively analyzed.
Results: A total of 72 patients positive for platelet glycoprotein-specific antibodies were enrolled in the antibody-positive group, and 40 patients not positive for platelet glycoprotein-specific antibodies were enrolled in the antibody-negative group.

This work was to explore the application value of gastrointestinal tumor markers based on gene feature selection model of principal component analysis (PCA) algorithm and multicolor quantum dots (QDs) immunobiosensor in the detection of gastrointestinal tumors. Based on the PCA method, the neighborhood rough set algorithm was introduced to improve it, and the tumor gene feature selection model (OPCA) was established to analyze its classification accuracy and accuracy. Four kinds of coupled biosensors were fabricated based on QDs, namely, 525 nm Cd Se/Zn S QDs-carbohydrate antigen 125 (QDs525-CA125 McAb), 605 nm Cd Se/Zn S QDs-cancer antigen 19-9 (QDs605-CA19-9 McAb), 645 nm Cd Se/Zn S QDs-anticancer embryonic antigen (QDs 645-CEA McAb), and 565 nm Cd Se/Zn S QDs-anti-alpha-fetoprotein (QDs565-AFP McAb).

Objective: This study aimed to detect the association between P-selectin autoantibody positive and response to steroid treatment in newly diagnosed immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) patients.
Methods: The data from 105 newly diagnosed adult ITP patients administered with first-line of steroid treatment from October 2016 to May 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Treatment responses were evaluated within 3 months after the onset of treatment.

Both rs1801133 mutation on Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) gene and transcription factor peroxisome proliferator-activated gamma (PPARG) have been associated with plasma homocysteine (Hcy) levels and hypertension. However, their role in H-type hypertension remains unclear. In this study, we first tested the association between rs1801133 genotypes and Hcy level in H-type hypertension using clinical profiles collected from 203 patients before and after the treatment using enalapril maleate and folic acid tablets (EMFAT).
