α-Phase formamidinium lead iodide (FAPbI) perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have garnered significant attention, owing to their remarkable efficiency. Methylammonium chloride (MACl), a common additive, is used to control the crystallization of FAPbI, thereby facilitating the formation of the photoactive α-phase. However, MACl's high volatility raises concerns regarding its stability and potential impact on the stability of the device.

Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI)-induced post-traumatic headache (PTH) is a pressing public health concern and leading cause of disability worldwide. Although PTH is often accompanied by neurological disorders, the exact underlying mechanism remains largely unknown. Identifying potential biomarkers may prompt the diagnosis and development of effective treatments for mTBI-induced PTH.

Introduction: Postoperative rebound pain after peripheral nerve block increases patient suffering and delays recovery after surgery.
Objectives: We tested whether the 5HT-3 receptor antagonist and α7nAChR agonist tropisetron could prevent postoperative rebound pain.
Methods: A total of 115 patients were randomized to receive 5-mg/5-mL tropisetron or the same volume of normal saline.

Land cover classification (LCC) is of paramount importance for assessing environmental changes in remote sensing images (RSIs) as it involves assigning categorical labels to ground objects. The growing availability of multi-source RSIs presents an opportunity for intelligent LCC through semantic segmentation, offering a comprehensive understanding of ground objects. Nonetheless, the heterogeneous appearances of terrains and objects contribute to significant intra-class variance and inter-class similarity at various scales, adding complexity to this task.

The Cambrian explosion is represented by a rapid diversification of early animals in which the role of marine primary productivity remains obscure. In this study, we analyzed multiple geochemical data, including TOC, major, and trace elements, in the basinal Yuanjia section, South China. Covariations among TOC, P/Al, Cu, and Ni suggest that they could be taken as effective marine productivity proxies in the early Cambrian Nanhua Basin.

Objective: In this study we aimed to determine the impact of human urine derived stem cells (USC) and genetically modified USC that were designed to overexpress myogenic growth factor IGF1 (USC), on the regenerative capacity of cardiotoxin (CTX)-injured murine skeletal muscle.
Methods: We overexpressed IGF1 in USC and investigated the alterations in myogenic capacity and regenerative function in cardiotoxin-injured muscle tissues.
Results: Compared with USC alone, USC activated the IGF1-Akt-mTOR signaling pathway, significantly improved myogenic differentiation capacity in vitro, and enhanced the secretion of myogenic growth factors and cytokines.

HIV-1 infection remains a public health problem with no cure. Although antiretroviral therapy (ART) is effective for suppressing HIV-1 replication, it requires lifelong drug administration due to a stable reservoir of latent proviruses and may cause serious side effects and drive the emergence of drug-resistant HIV-1 variants. Gene therapy represents an alternative approach to overcome the limitations of conventional treatments against HIV-1 infection.

Phthalates can induce hepatotoxicity in animal studies. We aimed to assess the associations of individual and mixture of urinary phthalate metabolites with serum liver function indicators among 764 women undergoing assisted reproductive technology (ART). In linear models, we observed inverse correlations between urinary mono-benzyl phthalate and serum total protein (TP) as well as globulin (β=-0.

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA), an effective local treatment method for early-stage Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC), combined with PD-1 blocking and anti-angiogenic therapy is being extensively explored in advanced HCC, however, the definite results and underlying mechanisms still remain to be elucidated. Therefore, whether non-ablative RFA-based combined therapy can play a synergistic anti-tumor effect through improving tumor immune microenvironment was investigated by us in HCC mouse models. Our results showed that non-ablative RFA could regulate multilayered immunity, such as inducing immunogenic death of tumor cells, upregulating the secretion of inflammatory cytokines, mainly IFN-γ, TNF-α, and IL-10, and subsequently promoting the infiltration of CD8 + T cells.

The lncRNA NUTM2A-AS1 has been shown to be dysregulated in gastric cancer, while the roles in glioma is unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate the roles and potential mechanisms of lncRNA NUTM2A-AS1 in the proliferation and apoptosis of glioma cells. The StarBase software and dual luciferase reporter assay were used to identify the relationship between lncRNA NUTM2A-AS1 and miR-376a-3p, and miR-376a-3p and YAP1.

With increasingly used assisted reproductive technology (ART), the acquisition of high-quality oocytes and early embryos has become the focus of much attention. Studies in mice have found that the transition of chromatin conformation from non-surrounded nucleolus (NSN) to surrounded nucleolus (SN) is essential for oocyte maturation and early embryo development, and similar chromatin transition also exists in human oocytes. In this study, we collected human NSN and SN oocytes and investigated their transcriptome.

Two-dimensional (2D) nonmagnetic semiconductors with large Rashba-Dresselhaus (R-D) spin splitting at valence or conduction bands are attractive for magnetic-field-free spintronic applications. However, so far, the number of 2D R-D inorganic semiconductors has been quite limited, and the factors that determine R-D spin splitting as well as rational design of giant spin splitting, remain unclear. For this purpose, by exploiting 2D chiral metal-organic frameworks (CMOFs) as a platform, we theoretically develop a three-step screening method to obtain a series of candidate 2D R-D semiconductors with valence band spin splitting up to 97.

Background: Teeth identification has a pivotal role in the dental curriculum and provides one of the important foundations of clinical practice. Accurately identifying teeth is a vital aspect of dental education and clinical practice, but can be challenging due to the anatomical similarities between categories. In this study, we aim to explore the possibility of using a deep learning model to classify isolated tooth by a set of photographs.
