Purpose: Graft rupture is a significant cause of graft failure in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR). To address this issue, clinicians have combined the internal tension relieving technique (ITRT) with ACLR to improve graft stiffness, aiming to reduce the risk of graft failure. The purpose of this study is to compare the graft failure rates and clinical functional outcomes between ITRT-assisted ACLR and conventional ACLR.

Background: The Prognostic Nutritional Index (PNI), which reflects both nutritional and immune status, has emerged as a potential predictor of survival outcomes in cancer patients. However, its role in forecasting the prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) following curative hepatectomy remains unclear. To further investigate the association between PNI and survival outcomes in HCC patients, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Objective: Ondansetron orally soluble pellicle can serve as an alternative option for preventing nausea and vomiting in patients who receive chemotherapy. However, there is a lack of clinical evidence regarding ondansetron. This study aimed to explore the efficacy and safety of ondansetron in patients with malignant tumours who received chemotherapy drugs with a moderate-to-high emetic risk.

Objectives: Shear-wave elastography (SWE) provides valuable stiffness within breast masses, making it a useful supplement to conventional ultrasound imaging. Super-resolution ultrasound (SRUS) imaging enhances microvascular visualization, aiding in the differential diagnosis of breast masses. Current clinical ultrasound diagnosis of breast cancer primarily relies on gray-scale ultrasound.

Background & Aims: Current prognostic models for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) undergoing transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) are not extensively validated and widely accepted. We aimed to develop and validate a continuous model incorporating tumor burden and biology for individual survival prediction and risk stratification.
Methods: Overall, 4,377 treatment-naive candidates for whom TACE was recommended, from 39 centers in five countries, were enrolled and divided into training, internal validation, and two external validation datasets.

Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is characterized by its aggressive nature and resistance to treatment. FAM107A is a tumor suppressor gene that has been found to possess inhibitory effects in several cancers, but its role in LUAD remains unclear. This study investigated the role of FAM107A in regulating LUAD cell growth, invasion and aerobic glycolysis and also investigated the potential underlying mechanisms.

Background: Axillary lymph node (ALN) is the most common metastasis path for breast cancer, and ALN dissection directly affects the postoperative staging and prognosis of breast cancer patients. Therefore, additional research is needed to accurately predict ALN metastasis before surgery and construct predictive models to assist in surgical decision-making and optimize patient care.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data, radiomics, and pathomics of the patients diagnosed with breast cancer in the Breast Cancer Center of Hubei Cancer Hospital from January 2017 to December 2022.

Introduction: Since the response of patients with rectal cancer (RC) to neoadjuvant therapy is highly variable, there is an urgent need to develop accurate methods to predict the post-treatment T (pT) stage. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the utility of multi-parametric MRI radiomics models and identify the most accurate machine learning (ML) algorithms for predicting pT stage of RC.
Method: This retrospective study analyzed pretreatment clinical features of 171 RC patients who underwent 3 T MRI prior to neoadjuvant therapy and subsequent total mesorectal excision.

Paclitaxel is one of the main chemotherapic medicines against triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) in clinic. However, it has been perplexed by paclitaxel resistance in TNBC patients, resulting in a poor prognosis. Abnormal protein glycosylation is closely related to the occurrence and progression of tumors and malignant phenotypes such as chemotherapy resistance.

Succinate dehydrogenase (SDH)-deficient renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a rare subtype of RCC characterized by the presence of a germline mutation in one of the four subunits of the SDH enzyme complex (SDHA, SDHB, SDHC and SDHD). Together with a somatic second hit, these variants lead to the loss of function of the SDH complex. SDH-deficient RCC associated with SDHA mutation is a rare condition; to the best of our knowledge, there have been only four patients reported in the literature.

Our previous studies showed HMGB3 expression may correlate with immunotherapy efficacy in breast cancer patients. Here, we investigated whether HMGB3 overexpression has an impact on anti-PD-1 therapy in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and its molecular mechanisms. Animal models were established to observe the effect of HMGB3 on sensitivity to anti-PD-1 treatment.

Objectives: Extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) suffering from brain metastases (BM) has a poor prognosis and lacks effective treatment selection. In this study, we explored the efficacy and safety of combination treatment of albumin-bound paclitaxel (nab-ptx), anlotinib, and PD-1/L1 inhibitors for such special population.
Methods: A total of 55 patients diagnosed with ES-SCLC and BM were enrolled in this retrospective study.
