Recent studies demonstrated that glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RA) have promising prospects in promoting wound healing. In this study, we intend to investigate the pro-healing effect and potential molecular mechanism of topical administration of GLP-1RA liraglutide on wounds in normoglycemic mice. Two full-thickness wounds were created on the back of the C57BL/6 mice.

Long-term occupational exposure to metals and organics have been reported to be under great health risks. However, limited data are available on the molecular mechanism between combined exposure to metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and harmful health effects. In present work, non-target metabolomics study was conducted based on urine samples from nonferrous metal smelting workers (n = 207), surrounding residents (n = 180), and the control residents (n = 187) by using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UHPLC-QTOF-MS).

Purpose: Since fibroblast activation protein (FAP), one predominant biomarker of cancer associated fibroblasts (CAFs), is highly expressed in the tumor stroma of various epidermal-derived cancers, targeting FAP for tumor diagnosis and treatment has shown substantial potentials in both preclinical and clinical studies. However, in preclinical settings, tumor-bearing mice exhibit relatively low absolute FAP expression levels, leading to challenges in acquiring high-quality PET images using radiolabeled FAP ligands (FAPIs) with low molar activity, because of which a saturation effect in imaging is prone to happen. Moreover, how exactly the molar dose of FAPI administered to a mouse influences the targeted PET imaging and radiotherapy remains unclear now.

As a special kind of supramolecular compound with many favorable properties, pillar[]arene-based supramolecular polymer networks (SPNs) show potential application in many fields. Although we have come a long way using pillar[]arene to prepare SPNs and construct a series of smart materials, it remains a challenge to enhance the mechanical strength of pillar[]arene-based SPNs. To address this issue, a new supramolecular regulation strategy was developed, which could precisely control the preparation of pillar[]arene-based SPN materials with excellent mechanical properties by adjusting the polymer network structures.

Herein, we report an approach for the synthesis of 2-sulfonyl carbazoles from the oxidative C-H sulfonylation of tetrahydrocarbazoles. The mechanistic study reveals that this special selectivity is realized by the addition of a sulfonyl radical to the 3,4-dihydrocabazole intermediate via dehydrogenative desaturation of tetrahydrocarbazoles. This approach features readily available starting materials, high regioselectivity, broad substrate scope, and attractive synthetic utility.

Acute myocardial infarction (MI) remains a leading cause of mortality worldwide, with inflammatory and reparative phases playing critical roles in disease progression. Currently, there is a pressing need for imaging techniques to monitor immune cell infiltration and inflammation activity during these phases. We developed a novel probe, Tc-HYNIC-mAb, utilizing a monoclonal antibody that targets the voltage-gated potassium channel 1.

Despite rapid progress in UAV-based infrared vehicle detection, achieving reliable target recognition remains challenging due to dynamic viewpoint variations and platform instability. The inherent limitations of infrared imaging, particularly low contrast ratios and thermal crossover effects, significantly compromise detection accuracy. Moreover, the computational constraints of edge computing platforms pose a fundamental challenge in balancing real-time processing requirements with detection performance.

Remote sensing change detection (RSCD), which utilizes dual-temporal images to predict change locations, plays an essential role in long-term Earth observation missions. Although many deep learning based RSCD models perform well, challenges remain in effectively extracting change information between dual-temporal images and fully leveraging interactions between their feature maps. To address these challenges, a constraint- and interaction-based network (CINet) for RSCD is proposed.

Fast-neutron reactors are an important representative of Generation IV nuclear reactors, and due to the unique structure and material properties of fast reactor fuel, traditional mechanical cutting methods are not applicable. In contrast, laser cutting has emerged as an ideal alternative. However, ensuring the stability of optical fibers and laser cutting heads under high radiation doses, as well as maintaining cutting quality after irradiation, remains a significant technical challenge.

The global issue of aging populations has become increasingly prominent, thus the research and development for anti-aging therapies to assure longevity as well as to ameliorate age-related complications is put high on the agenda. The young humoral milieu has been substantiated to impart youthful characteristics to aged cells or organs. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are a heterogeneous group of cell-derived membrane-limited structures that serve as couriers of proteins and genetic material to regulate intercellular communication.

In this study, we developed an indirect method for the synthesis of 2-deoxyglycosides with an exclusive β-configuration using glucosyl and galactosyl bromide donors with 2-thioacetyl (SAc) groups. The 2-SAc glucosyl and galactosyl bromide donors were easily obtained through the treatment of 1-OAc, 2-SAc glucose and galactose with HBr-CHCOOH solution, respectively. The glycosylation of such donors with acceptors under an improved Koenigs-Knorr condition resulted in glycosylation products with an exclusive β-configuration in excellent yields.

The efficient removal of dyes is of significant importance for environmental purification and human health. In this study, a novel material (Si-MPTS-IL) has been synthesized by the immobilization of imidazole ionic liquids (ILs) onto nano-silica using the radiation grafting technique. The adsorption performance of Si-MPTS-IL for Coomassie Brilliant Blue (CBB) removal is studied by a series of static adsorption experiments.

Using a direct knitting strategy, we successfully prepared a novel heterogeneous catalyst consisting of pyridine-bridged bis(imidazolium-2-ylidene) palladium complexes (CNC-Pd) embedded in a knitted network polymer. The resulting catalysts (HCP-CNC-Pd-d) exhibited high specific surface areas of 982 m2 g-1 with microporous and mesoporous structures. The large surface area enhances contact between the substrate and the catalytic center, while the strong chelation between CNC and the metal ion ensures the catalyst's durability.

Background: Female-specific cancers, particularly breast, cervical, ovarian, and uterine cancers, account for nearly 40% of all cancers in women. This study aimed to analyze the global epidemiological trends of these cancers from 1990 to 2021, offering insights into their evolving patterns and providing valuable information for health policymakers to allocate healthcare resources more effectively.
Methods: Data from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2021 (GBD 2021) were used to comprehensively assess the global incidence, mortality, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) of female-specific cancers.

Breast cancer became the most prevalent malignancy among women, and HER2 expression status is critical for treatment decisions. With the emergence of ADC drugs, HER2 low-expressing patients who previously did not respond well to traditional anti-HER2 therapies may now benefit. In this study, immunohistochemistry (IHC) and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) were applied to assess HER2 expression in 349 patients with HER2-non-positive breast cancer.

As a medium to understand the nature of glass transition, ultrastable glasses have garnered increasing attention for their significance in fundamental science and technological applications. Most studies have produced ultrastable glasses through a surface-controlled process using physical vapor deposition. Here, we demonstrate an approach to accessing ultrastable glasses via the glass-to-glass transition, a bulk transformation that is inherently free from size constraints and anisotropy.
