Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) treatment remains a challenge due to drug resistance and severe side effect, rendering the need on the development of novel therapeutics. CDDO-Me (Bardoxolone methyl), a potent Nrf2 activator and NF-κB inhibitor, is a promising candidate for cancer treatment including leukemia. However, the underlying mechanism for CDDO-Me in CML treatment is unclear.

By incorporating the physical constraints in joint space, a different-level simultaneous minimization scheme, which takes both the robot kinematics and robot dynamics into account, is presented and investigated for fault-tolerant motion planning of redundant manipulator in this paper. The scheme is reformulated as a quadratic program (QP) with equality and bound constraints, which is then solved by a discrete-time recurrent neural network. Simulative verifications based on a six-link planar redundant robot manipulator substantiate the efficacy and accuracy of the presented acceleration fault-tolerant scheme, the resultant QP and the corresponding discrete-time recurrent neural network.

Targeted therapy may provide survival benefit for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and Aurora A kinase (AURKA) represents a feasible target in cancer treatment. The purpose of this study is to investigate the anticancer activity of alisertib (ALS) on Hep3B cells based on a proteomic study conducted with the stable-isotope labeling by amino acids in cell culture (SILAC). The proteomic response to ALS was obtained with SILAC-based proteomic study.

Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most common brain tumor with poor response to current therapeutics. Alisertib (ALS), a second-generation selective Aurora kinase A (AURKA) inhibitor, has shown potent anticancer effects on solid tumors in animal studies. This study aimed to investigate the killing effect of ALS on GBM cell line DAOY and the possible underlying mechanisms using both bioinformatic and cell-based approaches.

, originally discovered from mosquito gut, is an emerging pathogen, especially in immunocompromised patients. We isolated two strains of from two separate patients with multiple organ dysfunction syndrome and lower respiratory tract infection. In this paper, we reviewed the status of infection and its antibiotics resistance from reported cases.

Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second lethal disease for men in western countries. Although androgen receptor (AR) signaling has been widely investigated, noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs), deficient of open reading frame, have also received considerable attention. Growing studies showed that the aberrant ncRNAs expression contributed to cell proliferation, metastasis and drug resistance in PCa.
