Objectives: We conducted a systematic review to compare the diagnostic utility of ultrasound-guided transperineal (TP) and transrectal (TR) prostate biopsy methods for prostate cancer detection.

Methods: We searched PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane databases up to October 30, 2023, for relevant studies, screening the literature and assessing bias independently.

Results: Eleven trials were analyzed using relative risk and 95% confidence intervals, with no evidence of publication bias.

Inflammatory pathways involving Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) play an important role in Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) infection. H37Rv (Rv) is a standard virulent strain, however, H37Ra (Ra) is a strain with reduced virulence. Interleukins and chemokines production are known to promote inflammation resistance in mammalian cells and is recently reported to regulate mycobacterial immunopathogenesis via inflammatory responses.

Background: Extensive preclinical evidence suggests that induced hypothermia can protect tissues from ischemia-reperfusion injury, reduce organ damage, and improve survival in the advanced stages of shock.

Objectives: We assessed the effects of induced hypothermia on the hemodynamic parameters and coagulation capacity during hemorrhagic shock (HS) and fluid resuscitation, in a pig model of HS with multiple intestinal perforations.

Material And Methods: Pigs (n=16) were randomized into 2 groups: a hypothermia (HT) group (n=8, 34°C) and a normothermia (NT) group (n=8, 38°C).
