Objective: To assess the infiltration characteristics of tumour-associated macrophages (TAMs) in buccal mucosa carcinoma (BMC) and the correlation of these features with clinicopathological factors.
Materials And Methods: Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of TAM-related markers (CD68, CD163, CD206), CD8+ T cell markers, PD-L1, and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) in 46 patients with mucosal cancer after radical surgery. In addition, the correlation between TAM infiltration and clinical characteristics, PD-L1 expression, and EGFR expression was analysed.

We developed a continuous learning system (CLS) based on deep learning and optimization and ensemble approach, and conducted a retrospective data simulated prospective study using ultrasound images of breast masses for precise diagnoses. We extracted 629 breast masses and 2235 images from 561 cases in the institution to train the model in six stages to diagnose benign and malignant tumors, pathological types, and diseases. We randomly selected 180 out of 3098 cases from two external institutions.

Background: Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a fatal disease characterized by pulmonary vascular remodeling and increased pulmonary artery pressure, leading to impaired lung oxygenation, right heart failure, and even death. Although great advances have been made in PAH-targeted medications for pediatric patients, the efficacy and safety of these treatments are controversial.
Methods: We retrieved relevant articles from electronic databases including PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library until 12 April 2022.

Background : Our previous studies have shown that ameliorating mitochondrial damage in renal tubular epithelial cells (RTECs) can alleviate septic acute kidney injury (SAKI). It is reported that AMPK phosphorylation (p-AMPK) could ameliorate mitochondrial damage in renal tissue and Sirtuin 5 (SIRT5) overexpression significantly enhanced the level of p-AMPK in bovine preadipocytes. However, the role of SIRT5-mediated phosphorylation of AMPK in SAKI needs to be clarified.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common and serious types of cancer worldwide, with high incidence and mortality rates. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a novel class of non-coding RNA with important biological functions. In recent years, multiple circRNAs have been found to be involved in the biological processes of tumorigenesis and tumor development.

Background: Most severe, critical, or mortal COVID-19 cases often had a relatively stable period before their status worsened. We developed a deterioration risk model of COVID-19 (DRM-COVID-19) to predict exacerbation risk and optimize disease management on admission.
Method: We conducted a multicenter retrospective cohort study with 239 confirmed symptomatic COVID-19 patients.

Chinese medicine for intestinal regulation is an emerging method for pediatric respiratory disorders, which has better clinical value when combined with NIV (Non-invasive ventilation). This study aims to observe the clinical efficacy of NIV plus Chinese medicine for intestinal regulation in Chinese children with respiratory disorders. Thirty-nine patients admitted to Huaihua First People's Hospital, between March 2016 and July 2018 were enrolled, including 14 children with chronic hypercapnic respiratory failure, 19 with non-surgical OSAS, 5 with OB and 1 with central hypoventilation syndrome.

This study aimed to explore the application value of three-dimensional (3D) convolutional neural networks (3D-CNN)-based computed tomography (CT) image intelligent segmentation model in the identification of lesions of patients with hepatitis B virus-associated acute-on-chronic liver failure (HBV-ACLF). A total of 30 patients with HBV-ACLF, 30 patients with chronic HBV hospitalized in hospital, and 30 healthy volunteers were selected as subjects. Liver function and serum inflammatory factors were measured in each group, and the 3D-CNN algorithm model was applied to CT imaging.

Vascular aging is characterized by alterations in the constitutive properties and biological functions of the blood vessel wall. Endothelial cells (ECs) and vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) are indispensability elements in the inner layer and the medial layer of the blood vessel wall, respectively. Dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP4) inhibitors, as a hypoglycemic agent, play a protective role in reversing vascular aging regardless of their effects in meliorating glycemic control in humans and animal models of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) through complex cellular mechanisms, including improving EC dysfunction, promoting EC proliferation and migration, alleviating EC senescence, obstructing EC apoptosis, suppressing the proliferation and migration of VSMCs, increasing circulating endothelial progenitor cell (EPC) levels, and preventing the infiltration of mononuclear macrophages.

Introduction: Metabolic memory is one of the causes of diabetic retinopathy, and astragalus polysaccharide (APS) has great advantages in the treatment of diabetes. However, the effect of APS on metabolic memory remains to be investigated.
Methods: Retinal pigment epithelial cell line ARPE-19 and primary retinal pigment epithelial cells were used to verify the effect of APS on mitochondria damage and apoptosis induced by high glucose-induced metabolic memory.

Extensive studies showed the vital function of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) in the pathological and physiological progression of tumors. Previous evidence has indicated that lncRNA MYLK Antisense RNA 1 () acts as an oncogene to facilitate the progression of several tumors. Nevertheless, little is known about its biological role in gastric cancer (GC).

Ureaplasma urealyticum and Ureaplasma parvum are the most common Ureaplasma species causing repeated or persistent infection of the urogenital tract. The host can mobilize innate and adaptive immunity to defend and eliminate pathogens. However, under certain conditions, the host's immune protection cannot completely clear Ureaplasma species.
