In the contemporary era of drug discovery, herbal treatments have demonstrated an unparalleled ability to produce anticancer drugs. An important part of the therapy of cancer is the use of plants and their by-products via analogues, which alter the tumor microenvironment and several signaling pathways. The objective of the current investigation was to conclude the rate at which the herbal medications quercetin (QT) and sulforaphane (SFN) repressed the growth of breast carcinoma cells in MDA-MB-231 by preventing the ERK/MAPK signaling systems.

This study explores the protective role of Atractylodin (ATN) on ultraviolet-B (UVB) radiation-exposed oxidative damage and photoaging responses in human epidermal keratinocytes (HaCaT). In vitro, experiments involved subjecting HaCaT cells to UVB radiation (50 mJ/cm) for a 24 h incubation period, leading to cell death, increased reactive oxygen species (ROS), and DNA damaged lesion (8-Oxo Gunosine). ATN treatment effectively mitigated cell toxicity, ROS generation, and 8-Oxo Gunosine in UVB-exposed HaCaT cells.

Background: Burnout is a state of physical and mental exhaustion triggered by long-term work stress, which is manifested mainly as emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and a decreased sense of accomplishment. Among them, emotional exhaustion is its core feature, which often leads to a significant decrease in an individual's enthusiasm for work. Owing to the high intensity of the work environment and the special requirements of emotional labor, the nursing community is more vulnerable to burnout.

Background: Breast cancer (BRCA) constitutes one of the principal causes of death among women. The objective of this study was to explore the impact of glucose-aminotransferase 3 (GCNT3) on the growth, invasion, and metastasis of BRCA cells. Additionally, the aim of this research was to clarify the underlying molecular mechanisms through which GCNT3 influences the development and progression of BRCA and to ascertain the potential of GCNT3 as a novel BRCA biomarker.

Background: Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is the most common histological type of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Platinum-based chemotherapy, such as cisplatin chemotherapy, is the cornerstone of treatment for LUAD patients. Nevertheless, cisplatin resistance remains the key obstacle to LUAD treatment, for its mechanism has not been fully elucidated.

Background: Cuproptosis, a metal-ion-dependent form of regulated cell death induced by copper overload, is emerging as a potential mechanism in high-grade glioma (HGG). Despite its significance, the role of cuproptosis in predicting the prognostic and therapeutic response in HGG remains poorly understood.
Methods: We performed unsupervised clustering to stratify patients with HGG in the Chinese Glioma Genome Atlas (CGGA) according to the expression of 14 cuproptosis-related genes (CRGs) and validated in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA).

Introduction: By using spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) to measure retinal blood vessels. The correlation between the changes of retinal vascular structure and the degree of diabetic nephropathy is analyzed with a full-pixel Semantic segmentation method.
Methods: A total of 120 patients with diabetic nephropathy who were treated in the nephrology department of Quzhou People's Hospital from March 2023 to March 2024 were selected and divided into three groups according to the urinary albumin creatinine ratio (UACR).

Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationships between imaging indicators of obesity, as measured by computed tomography (CT), and clinical outcomes at 90 days and 1 year after emergent endovascular therapy (EVT).
Methods: Participants with emergent large vessel occlusion (ELVO) who underwent EVT were prospectively enrolled. During hospitalization, CT scans were performed to evaluate the visceral adipose tissue area (VATA) and skeletal muscle area (SMA) at the level of the third lumbar spine.

Cardiac fibrosis constitutes a crucial element in the progression of diverse chronic cardiac conditions. Notably, a significant correlation has been observed between the endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EndMT) and the emergence of cardiac fibrosis. To investigate mechanisms, we employed immunofluorescence for α-SMA and CD31 analysis, Western blotting for CD34, vimentin, and SPARC overexpression.
