Objective: To investigate the value of a SnapECG monitoring in diagnosing arrhythmias compared with the conventional management.

Methods: In the first phase, the SnapECG and 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) were simultaneously adopted to detect arrhythmias in 439 hospitalized patients. The accuracies of the SnapECG in detecting different arrhythmias were assessed.

Purpose: To explore the effects of miR-99a on the proliferation and migration of cervical cancer cells (CCCs) by targeting IGF1R.

Methods: miR-99a and IGF1R expression in C-33 A and C-4 II cells was interfered. Their effects on the proliferation, apoptosis, and migration of CCCs were analyzed by MTT assay, flow cytometry, and Transwell assay.

Background: Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are endogenous non-coding RNAs, which are associated with various biological processes, including microRNA (miRNA) interaction, protein binding and regulatory splicing. circRNA_0005529 (circ_0005529) is derived from vacuolar protein sorting 33 homologue B (VPS33B), and its biological role in gastric cancer (GC) has not been examined. In this study, the expression and location of circ_0005529 and microRNA-527 (miR-527) were determined by qRT-PCR and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH).

Sepsis is a fetal immunological disorder and its complication worsens in the patients with hemodialysis which may increase the risk of death. In the present study, we aimed to investigate the effect of homeodomain-interacting protein kinase 3 (HIPK3) on inflammatory factors and oxidative stress markers in monocytes of rats with sepsis by regulating the c-Jun amino-terminal kinase (JNK)/c-Jun signaling pathway. A rat model of sepsis was initially established using cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) and was further identified by enlarged spleen tissues, inflammation, and oxidative stress.

Prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD) is one of the most frequently diagnosed cancer in males. Previous studies had demonstrated long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) played crucial roles in human cancers. In present study, we reported ten disease-free survival time related lncRNAs in PRAD, including RP11-468E2.

Objective: To compare the clinical effects of modified uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP) with low-temperature plasma with selective nasal cavity vasodilatation with tongue volume reduction for obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS).

Methods: A retrospective analysis based on 156 patients with serious OSAHS was used for the evaluation. These patients were divided into 2 groups according to surgery methods according to 1:1.

S100A11 is a S100 protein family member that contributes to cancer progression. Upregulated in human renal cancer tissues, S100A11 may be a prognostic marker for clear cell renal cell carcinoma, but how it functions in cancer is uncertain. Thus, we studied S100A11 and noted knockdown of S100A11 using short hairpin RNA, which inhibited proliferation, invasion, and migration of renal carcinoma cells as well as increased expression of E-cadherin and decreased expression of epidermal growth factor receptor/Akt in renal carcinoma cells.

A growing body of evidence has indicated that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) serve as competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs) during oncogenesis. In this study, the qRT-PCR results indicated that the lncRNA PVT1 is overexpressed in osteosarcoma and decreased the survival rate of osteosarcoma patients. MTT and clonal colony formation assays were used to detect the effect of PVT1 on proliferation, and flow cytometry was performed to assess apoptosis and the cell cycle.

Department of Pediatrics, Huai'an First People's Hospital, Affiliated of Nanjing Medical University, No. 6 Beijing Road West, Huai'an, Jiangsu 223300, China. Electronic address:

Leukemia has been the third type of cancer killing many people across the world. Bakkenolide A (Bak), extracted from Petasites tricholobus, has been suggested to against cancer and display protective effects on inflammatory cytokines formation. And increasing evidences suggest that histone deacetylase 3 (HDAC3) plays vital roles in cancer formation and persistence via cell death, apoptosis and inflammation.

Aims/introduction: The present study aimed to determine the associations between expressions of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and vascular endothelial growth factor 165 (VEGF ) in serum, and occurrence and development of type 2 diabetic nephropathy (DN).

Materials And Methods: A total of 108 patients diagnosed as DN were randomly selected, including 50 patients in the microalbuminuria group, 44 patients in the macroalbuminuria group and 14 patients in the renal insufficiency group. Meanwhile, 97 healthy people were collected as a normal control group.
