Objectives: To examine the association between the age at onset of diabetes and the risk of all-cause mortality in a population of individuals diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and to identify risk factors associated with all-cause mortality in young-onset T2DM (YOD) patients in China.
Methods: This study utilized a cohort of 9759 patients who were diagnosed with T2DM and who were registered and enrolled in the National Basic Public Health Service Management Program in Qinghe District (now Qingjiangpu District) and Huai'an District, Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, China. The patients were observed from November 2013 to July 2014, and all-cause mortality data were obtained by comprehensive matching with the Huai'an City Resident Mortality Database as of December 31, 2019.

The adoptive transfer of TCR-T cells specific to neoantigens preferentially exhibits potent cytotoxicity to tumor cells and has shown promising efficacy in various preclinical human cancers. In this study, we first identified a functional TCR, Tcr-1, which selectively recognized the SYT-SSX fusion neoantigen shared by most synovial sarcomas. Engineered T-cell expressing Tcr-1 (Tcr-T1) demonstrated HLA-A*2402-restricted, antigen-specific anti-tumoral efficacy against synovial sarcoma cells, both in vitro and in vivo.

The risk of lung cancer is significantly increased in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc), yet the specific genes underlying this association remain unexplored. Our study aims to identify genes shared by SSc and lung cancer. We identified differentially expressed genes (DEGs) from SSc and lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) datasets (SSc: GSE95065, LUAD: GSE136043) in the GEO database.

Background: Ischemic stroke is a major contributor to global morbidity and mortality, particularly in critically ill patients in intensive care units (ICUs). While advances in stroke management have improved outcomes, predicting mortality remains challenging due to the involvement of complex metabolic and cardiovascular factors. The triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index, a marker for insulin resistance, has gained attention for its potential to predict adverse outcomes in stroke patients.

Tumor heterogeneity, immune-suppressive microenvironment and the precise killing of tumor cells by drugs are important factors affecting tumor treatment. In this study, we developed environment-responsive drug delivery system (FM@IQ/PST&ZIF-8/DOX) based on ZIF-8 for tumor photothermal/immunotherapy/chemotherapy synergistic therapy. The prepared FM@IQ/PST&ZIF-8/DOX nanoplatfrom not only has highly drug loading capacity for chemotherapeutic drug-doxorubicin, but also erythrocyte membrance modified on their surface can endow their immunity-escaping property and prolong their blood circulation time.

Introduction: Necroptosis has emerged as a promising biomarker for predicting immunotherapy responses across various cancer types. Its role in modulating immune activation and therapeutic outcomes offers potential for precision oncology.
Methods: A comprehensive pan-cancer analysis was performed using bulk RNA sequencing data to develop a necroptosis-related gene signature, termed Necroptosis.

Objective: Although there is a strong correlation between stroke and sarcopenia, there has been a lack of research into the potential risks associated with post-stroke sarcopenia. Predictors of sarcopenia are yet to be identified. We aimed at developing a nomogram able to predict sarcopenia in patients with stroke.

Background: Burnout is a state of physical and mental exhaustion triggered by long-term work stress, which is manifested mainly as emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and a decreased sense of accomplishment. Among them, emotional exhaustion is its core feature, which often leads to a significant decrease in an individual's enthusiasm for work. Owing to the high intensity of the work environment and the special requirements of emotional labor, the nursing community is more vulnerable to burnout.

In this study, smart films of EFS, EFS-SiO and EFS-SiO-CRE were successfully developed by using Euryale ferox starch (EFS), nano-SiO and Chinese rose extract (CRE). The Chinese rose flower had a high content of anthocyanins (1.73 mg/g) and CRE exhibited different colors in varying pH buffers (2-13).

Objective: To systematically evaluate a recurrence risk prediction model for patients with Atrial Fibrillation (AF) following ablation, and to provide a reference for the model establishment and optimization.
Methods: Literature retrieval was conducted in databases including PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMbase, and Web of Science to collect studies on recurrence risk prediction models for AF patients following ablation. Study quality was assessed using Prediction Model Risk of Bias Assessment Tool, and a meta-analysis was performed using MedCalc statistical software.

Gastrointestinal polyps are early indicators of many significant diseases within the digestive system, and timely detection of these polyps is crucial for preventing them. Although clinical gastrointestinal endoscopy and interventions help reduce the risk of malignancy, most current methods fail to adequately address the uncertainties and scale issues associated with the presence of polyps, posing a threat to patients' health. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel single-stage method for polyp detection.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a prevalent malignant tumor in the gastrointestinal tract, with around 50% of patients experiencing distant metastases, predominantly to the liver. Colorectal cancer liver metastasis (CRLM) is a leading cause of CRC-related death, and effective treatments remain limited. This study aims to identify new targets for predicting and treating CRLM.

Introduction: Lung cancer is a leading cause of cancer-related deaths, with its incidence continuing to rise. Chromatin remodeling, a crucial process in gene expression regulation, plays a significant role in the development and progression of malignant tumors. However, the role of chromatin regulators (CRs) in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) remains underexplored.

Background: Telomere shortening and RNA pseudo-uridylation are common features of tumors. NOP10 is a member of the H/ACA snoRNP family, essential for maintaining telomerase activity and RNA pseudouridylation. NOP10 has been indicated to be substantially expressed in tumors such as breast and lung cancers and is associated with poor prognosis.

Titanium and its alloys are widely used as orthopedic implants owing to their good mechanical properties and excellent corrosion resistance. However, the insufficient osteogenic activity and antibacterial properties hinder their clinical applications. To address these issues, TiO nanotube arrays (TNT) were first fabricated on the TA2 alloy surface via an anodizing technique, and strontium ions (Sr) were then loaded by hydrothermal reaction (TNT + Sr) and annealing treatment (TNT + A).
