The impact of curcumin-mediated photodynamic treatment (PDT) on the microbiological, physicochemical and sensory qualities of salmon sashimi has not been explored. Herein, this study aimed to evaluate the effects of PDT on the shelf-life quality of ready-to-eat salmon fillets during chilled storage (4 °C) in comparison with five widely investigated natural extracts, including cinnamic aldehyde, rosmarinic acid, chlorogenic acid, dihydromyricetin and nisin. From a microbial perspective, PDT exhibited outstanding bacterial inhibition, the results of total viable counts, total coliform bacteria, psychrotrophic bacteria, Pseudomonas spp.

Targeting Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) metabolism has emerged as a promising anti-cancer strategy; we aimed to explore the health benefits of boosting NAD levels with nicotinamide riboside (NR) on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). We established three in vivo tumor models, including subcutaneous transplantation tumor model in both Balb/c nude mice (xenograft), C57BL/6J mice (allograft), and hematogenous metastatic neoplasm in nude mice. NR (400 mg/kg bw) was supplied daily in gavage.

Recent research have shown that influenza C virus (ICV) has a possible higher clinical impact than previously thought. But knowledge about ICV is limited compared with influenza A and B viruses, due to poor systematic surveillance and inability to propagate. To analyze the quadrivalent influenza vaccine intention of 718 health care workers (HCWs) in the Pearl River Delta region from 2015 to 2017. In May 2018, 718 HCWs from the department related to the diagnosis and treatment of influenza in 17 hospitals (6 tertiary hospitals, 5 secondary hospitals and 6 primary hospitals) from Guangzhou, Jiangmen, Zhuhai and Dongguan were selected by using stratified sampling method. Questionnaire survey and face-to-face interview were used to collect the information of influenza vaccination, the intention of the quadrivalent influenza vaccine, the acceptance of free and required vaccination policies, and recommendations for increasing influenza vaccination intentions from 2015 to 2017.
