Background: Acute coronary syndrome (ACS), the acute manifestation of ischemic heart disease, remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Soon after ACS, autonomic imbalance acts to preserve the proper functioning of the cardiovascular system and consequently of the whole body. In this study, we perform a protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy of heart rate variability biofeedback in improving the prognosis in patients with ACS.

Objective: To investigate the incidence of acute postoperative endophthalmitis (POE) after cataract surgery in Northern China from 2013 to 2019, evaluate the efficacy of prophylaxis and analyze the predictors of visual prognosis among POE patients.
Methods: The study was conducted as a retrospective multi-center research, with seven hospitals in Northern China enrolled. The diagnosis of acute-onset POE was made on the basis of clinical manifestations within six weeks after initial surgery.

Purpose: To assess air pollution-induced changes on ocular surface and tear cytokine levels.
Methods: As a prospective multicenter cohort study, 387 dry eye disease (DED) participants were recruited from five provinces in China and underwent measurements of ocular surface disease index (OSDI), Schirmer's I test (ST), tear meniscus height (TMH), tear film break-up time (TBUT), corneal fluorescein staining (CFS), meibomian gland (MG) function, and tear cytokines. The associations between ocular surface parameters and exposure to particulate matter (PM), ozone (O), nitrogen dioxide (NO), and sulfur dioxide (SO) for 1 day, 1 week, and 1 month before the examination were analyzed in single- and multi-pollutant models adjusted for confounding factors.

Introduction: Longer follow-up was necessary to determine the exact value of mastoscopic axillary lymph node dissection (MALND).
Methods: From January 1, 2003, to December 31, 2005, 1027 patients with breast cancer were randomly assigned to two groups: MALND and CALND (conventional axillary lymph node dissection); 996 eligible patients were enrolled.
Results: The final cohort of 996 patients was followed for an average of 198 months.

Background And Objective: Early detection of the pulmonary nodule from physical examination low-dose computer tomography (LDCT) images is an effective measure to reduce the mortality rate of lung cancer. Although there are many computer aided diagnosis (CAD) methods used for detecting pulmonary nodules, there are few CAD systems for small pulmonary nodule detection with a large amount of physical examination LDCT images.
Methods: In this work, we designed a CAD system called Pulmonary Nodules Detection Assistant Platform for early pulmonary nodules detection and classification based on the physical examination LDCT images.

Background: The pathogenesis and related factors of central nervous system abnormality in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) have always been the focus of clinical research.
Purpose: To compare and analyze the area of white matter (WM) damage in patients with T2DM based on their level of hemoglobin A (HBA) and discuss any related factors.
Material And Methods: Based on their levels of HBA, 87 patients with T2DM were divided into three groups (Group B, C, or D), of which 29 non-diabetic volunteers served as the control group (Group A).

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the predictive value of pulse oximetry plethysmography (POP) for the return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) in cardiac arrest (CA) patients.
Methods: This was a multicenter, observational, prospective cohort study of patients hospitalized with cardiac arrest at 14 teaching hospitals cross China from December 2013 through November 2014. The study endpoint was ROSC, defined as the restoration of a palpable pulse and an autonomous cardiac rhythm lasting for at least 20 minutes after the completion or cessation of CPR.

Osteosarcoma is a highly aggressive malignant tumor, which most commonly occurs in children and adolescents. This study aims to reveal that hypoxia promotes the invasion of osteosarcoma cells by up-regulating the expression of NUSAP1. The expression of HIF-1α and NUSAP1 was significantly up-regulated in MG63 cells cultured in hypoxia for 6-36 h.

Introduction: Acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory disease of the sebaceous glands that occurs in adolescent men and women. In recent years, the incidence of acne has increased year by year, so it is of great significance to find a precise and effective treatment and further explore its possible mechanism of action. The purpose of this study will be to explore a treatment method that has both traditional Chinese medicine characteristics and significant effects, and provides a higher level of evidence for acupuncture for acne vulgaris.

In the current situation where there are many and complicated clinical treatments, Western medicine treatment can delay and control the development of the disease and promote hair regeneration. However, some patients may aggravate symptoms after taking the drug, and the condition is easy to repeat after stopping the drug.

Methods: This was a prospective, multicenter, 831 Chinese patient-based, cross-sectional study. Patients were administered the Visual Function Index-14 (VF-14) and the 25-item National Eye Institute Visual Functioning Questionnaire (NEI-VFQ-25) to evaluate their subjective visual function.
Background: Psoriasis is an immune-mediated polygenic hereditary skin disease quality of the patients' life because of the great trouble it causes to patients. Whereas, there is variability when we regard the selection of traditional Chinese medicine treatments in practice and most choices are made based on personal experience or preference of clinician. This study uses network meta-analysis to compare the effectiveness of different forms of TCM for psoriasis and assesses the evidence with the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) approach.

Surgical resection is the standard treatment for localized and potentially resectable gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs), If the postoperative pathology diagnosis indicates that patients are at high risk of recurrence, they should be treated with imatinib. Even though the introduction of imatinib substantially improved the outcome of GIST patients, it is unclear whether different imatinib treatment regimens affect patients' survival. This retrospective study included 120 patients who underwent tumor resection for high-risk GISTs between January 2009 and October 2018.

Acute pulmonary embolism (APE) is a serious disease which is life-threatening. Since it is crucial for APE patients to assess the changes of cardiac function safely and timely, the imaging research of cardiac morphology and function is becoming more and more important. The correlation of computed tomography (CT) measured cardiac parameters and pulmonary obstruction index (POI) was analyzed to discuss the morphological changes of the heart of APE patients in order to provide a new method to evaluate cardiac functions accurately and effectively.

Background: Previous studies have revealed that hepatitis B core antibody (anti-HBc) levels vary throughout the different phases of treatment-naïve chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients and can be used as a predictor of treatment response in both interferon-α and nucleoside analogue therapies. However, few data have been published regarding the relationship between quantitative anti-HBc (qAnti-HBc) levels and liver fibrosis in patients with CHB.
Results: A total of 489 HBeAg-positive (HBeAg (+)) and 135 HBeAg-negative (HBeAg (-)) patients were recruited.
