pneumonia remains a difficult diagnosis and is most common in immunocompromised individuals. It has been rarely reported in immunocompetent individuals. We present a case of unsuspected pneumonia associated with esophagitis and gastritis discovered on postmortem examination in a presumably immunocompetent patient.
