Marshmallow candy is a well-known sugar-based confection that is widely consumed among different population groups. However, its high sugar contents and low nutritive value might lead to adverse health outcomes. This study, therefore, aimed to develop optimal formulations for functional marshmallow candy using honey, aqueous hibiscus extract, cow's milk, and strawberry concentrates with partial replacement of table sugar and glucose syrup.

The existing literature on environmentally responsible behavior in tourists focuses primarily on the factors that influence this behavior, such as tourists' attitudes and negative feelings. However, the intrinsic benefits of conservation for individual and societal well-being are often overlooked. Under the theoretical lens of self-expansion theory, this study examined the influence of Chinese tourists' tourism autobiographical memory on their environmentally responsible behavior using a questionnaire survey (N = 434) with partial least squares structural equation modeling.

As a novel experiential approach, live streaming at tourist destinations has garnered significant attention and profoundly impacts tourists' travel decisions. This study aims to validate the effects of usefulness, authenticity, and interactivity of destination live streams on the decision-making process of tourists. Grounded in stimulus-organism-response (S-O-R) theory, this research identifies the usefulness, authenticity, and interactivity of destination live streams as the "stimulus," while telepresence and trust as the "organism," with tourists' travel decisions as the "response.

Environmental degradation is a problem, and the consequences, in terms of emission of pollutants into different ecosystems, human health, and sustainable development are disastrous. This study explains the complex interactions that exist among sustainable finance, green technology innovation, green energy adoption, the climate change financial policy, green growth index, government spending, and financial globalization across the globe. This research applies to an extensive dataset that ranges to 23 years in 50 countries by enforcing robust dynamic econometric methods such as unit root tests, cointegration analysis, and generalized method of moments (GMM) estimations for the analysis of these complicated issues.

Legumes are well-known for symbiotic nitrogen fixation, whereas associative nitrogen fixation for nonlegume plants needs more attention. Most associative nitrogen-fixing bacteria are applied in their original plant species and need further study for broad adaptation. Additionally, if isolated nitrogen-fixing bacteria could function under fertilizer conditions, it is often ignored.

A comprehensive analysis of the volatile components of 11 different cherry tomato pastes (Tesco Extra, Orange, Zebra, Yellow, Round Netherland, Mini San Marzano, Spar truss, Tesco Sunstream, Paprikakertész, Mc Dreamy, and Tesco Eat Fresh) commercially available in Hungary was performed. In order to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the measurement, the optimal measurement conditions were first determined. SPME (solid-phase microextraction) fiber coating, cherry tomato paste treatment, and SPME sampling time and temperature were optimized.

Few research studies attempt to merge the theory of planned behaviour and value-belief-norm theory in explaining consumers green hotels visits although they may deem to be complementary. This study attempts to merge both theories by investigating the relationships between the different aspects of values, attitudes, norms, perceived behavioural control, awareness of consequence, ascription of responsibility and intention. A total of 596 young responses were collected, and the results showed that altruistic value positively influenced subjective norm, extrinsic attitude and perceived behavioural control.

Adaptation is essential to mitigate the effects of climate change, such as increasing flood risk. In response to widespread maladaptation, citizen-led approaches are increasingly championed, whereby people on the frontline of climate change determine their own objectives and strategies of adaptation. Enabling equitable and effective citizen-led adaptation requires an understanding of the barriers for different groups of people but this is currently lacking, especially in low- and middle-income countries.

Cereal crops have been integral to human sustenance since the Neolithic era which have earned significant attention as staple foods. The year-round cultivation and consumption of cereal-based products have led to the escalating global production of cereals and a rise in industrial processing which results in significant waste generation. These wastes contain high-value nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids.

Chemical investigation of the native medicinal plant Tabernaemontana bovina led to the isolation of five previously unreported monoterpenoid indole alkaloids tabernovinaines A-E (1-5) together with twenty-seven known analogs (6-32), including a bisindole alkaloid 1 with the (E)-4-aminobut-3-en-2-one fragment, as well as a unique cage skeleton 2 containing 6/5/8/6/6 ring system. The chemical structures of these unreported compounds were elucidated using mass spectrometry, NMR spectroscopy, circular dichroism, density functional theory calculations, and derivatizations. The activity evaluation shows that the bisindole alkaloid 1 revealed a potential cytotoxic effect by inducing HepG2 cell apoptosis and damaging clonal sphere expansion.

This study investigated the associations between pet-ownership on nature engagement, interpersonal relationships, and well-being among 471 Taiwanese children aged 11-12, across different genders. The findings revealed that interactions with pets, primarily in the form of caregiving, enhanced empathy toward nature, notably among female participants from various racial and ethnic backgrounds, although direct contact with nature was generally limited. In terms of interpersonal relationships, family bonds were significant, with boys reporting stronger connections.

This study aimed to examine the factors influencing Chinese tourists' shopping behavior during shopping tourism in Korea using a theoretical framework based on the modified theory of planned behavior (TPB). A quantitative research method was used; the questionnaire for this study was posted on Wenjuanxing for data collection and 269 valid questionnaires were analyzed in September 2024 using partial least-squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of analyzing the 269 questionnaires showed that attitude, conformity, perceived behavioral control, and perceived quality of goods influenced shopping intention.

The recent popularity of home delivery meal kits (HMK) has prompted concerns about its integrity and safety. On the basis of a food safety-related information evaluation of the common US-based HMK vendors' websites, this perspective highlights opportunities for improvement with the adequacy and accessibility of relevant information on HMK websites, an important resource for communicating food safety best practices to consumers. Identified gaps in information and inadequate delivery protocols potentially increase the risk of offering unsafe food to consumers.
