Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) is an emerging and effective therapy for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Previous studies have reported that compared with FMT, whole intestinal microbiota transplantation (WIMT) can more precisely replicate the community structure and reduce the inflammatory response of the host. However, it remains unclear whether WIMT is more effective in alleviating IBD.

Stroke known as a neurological disease has significant rates of disability and mortality. Middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) models in rodents is crucial in stroke research to mimic human stroke. Building the mRNA and non-conding RNA network is essential for preventing MCAO-induced ischemic stroke occurrence.

The aim of this study was to investigate whether the alterations of topological properties can facilitate the diagnosis of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Twenty first-episode drug-naive Chinese individuals with GAD and twenty age-sex-education-matched healthy controls (HCs) were included in the primary training set, and the results of which were validated using nineteen drug-free patients with GAD and nineteen unmatched HCs. Two 3 T scanners were used to acquire T1, diffusion tensor, and resting-state functional images.

Background: Herpes zoster (HZ) is a skin disease that can also cause virus-infectious peripheral neuropathies. Despite this, there is limited information on patient preferences for seeking medical attention for HZ and zoster-associated pain (ZAP). Our study aimed to evaluate how frequently patients with ZAP choose to visit neurologists for their symptoms.

Ferroptosis is characterized by a process in which fatal lipids from lipid peroxidation accumulate in cells and eventually lead to cell death. Alcohol-related liver disease (ALD) is a type of liver injury caused by excessive alcohol intake.

Radiomics is a hot topic in the research on customized oncology treatment, efficacy evaluation, and tumor prognosis prediction. To achieve the goal of mining the heterogeneity information within the tumor tissue, the image features concealed within the tumoral images are turned into quantifiable data features. This article primarily describes the research progress of radiomics and clinical-radiomics combined model in the prediction of efficacy, the choice of treatment modality, and survival in transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) and TACE combination therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma.

Fluorescence carbon quantum dots (CQDs) have been widely applied to sensing and bioimaging. In this paper, near-infrared carbon quantum dots (NIR-CQDs) were prepared through a simple one-step hydrothermal approach using reduced glutathione and formamide as raw materials. Based on NIR-CQDs, aptamer (Apt) and graphene oxide (GO) has been applied to fluorescence sensing cortisol.

One potential factor is gut microbiota dysbiosis, which has been associated with AD. However, it remains unclear whether the gut microbiota dysbiosis can be transmitted to non-AD individuals and contribute to the development of AD pathogenesis and cognitive impairment.

Background: CHI3L2 plays a crucial role in multiple cancers, but its importance in glioma remains unclear. Hence, we comprehensively integrated bulk RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq), proteomics and single-cell RNA-seq (scRNA-seq) to determine the roles of CHI3L2 in gliomas.
Methods: Bulk RNA-seq, proteomics and scRNA-seq data of CHI3L2 in glioma were obtained from online databases.

A DNA hydrogel, owing to its dual properties of liquid and solid, is considered to be an ideal material for constructing biosensors that can integrate the advantages of both wet chemistry and dry chemistry. Nevertheless, it has struggled to cope with the demands of high-throughput analysis. A partitioned and chip-based DNA hydrogel is a potential avenue to achieve this, but currently remains a formidable challenge.
