Real-world outcomes of combined lenvatinib and anti-PD-1 in advanced melanoma: the Lenvamel study, a multicenter retrospective study of the French Group of Skin Cancers (Groupe de Cancérologie Cutanée).

Background: Currently, treatment options for patients with advanced melanoma who experience failed immunotherapy or targeted therapy are lacking. Introduction: The aim of this study was to compare the impact of the depth of myotomy (selective inner layer myotomy (SIM) vs. full-thickness myotomy (FTM)) on the outcome of patients treated with POEM for achalasia.

Methods: This was a retrospective, observational, conducted in two tertiary centers between October 2018 and September 2022.

Recent Findings: Global patterns of DH/DA seem to be changing and increasing worldwide, but there are still great challenges in capturing quality DH/DA mortality and morbidity statistics (MMS). DH/DA MMS may gain new perspectives with the global implementation of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD)-11.

In this review, we compare different refractory anaphylaxis (RA) management guidelines focusing on cardiovascular involvement and best practice recommendations, discuss postulated pathogenic mechanisms underlining RA and highlight knowledge gaps and research priorities. There is a paucity of data supporting existing management guidelines. Therapeutic recommendations include the need for the timely administration of appropriate doses of aggressive fluid resuscitation and intravenous (IV) adrenaline in RA.

Etiological involvement of KCND1 variants in an X-linked neurodevelopmental disorder with variable expressivity.

Utilizing trio whole-exome sequencing and a gene matching approach, we identified a cohort of 18 male individuals from 17 families with hemizygous variants in KCND1, including two de novo missense variants, three maternally inherited protein-truncating variants, and 12 maternally inherited missense variants. Affected subjects present with a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by diverse neurological abnormalities, mostly delays in different developmental domains, but also distinct neuropsychiatric signs and epilepsy. Heterozygous carrier mothers are clinically unaffected.

Expanding the Spectrum of Sarcoma with an Internal Tandem Duplication of BCOR: A Non-Pediatric Nasosinusal Case.

Introduction: Undifferentiated small round-cell sarcomas with BCL6 corepressor (BCOR) alterations, such as an internal tandem duplication (ITD) within exon 15, are typically described as a pediatric group of Ewing-like small round-cell sarcomas.

Case Presentation: In contrast to this notion, we report the case of a 71-year-old woman with a nasosinusal sarcoma featuring a BCOR ITD. To the best of our knowledge, this presence had not been previously documented in a sarcoma of the nasal and sinus cavities in an elderly patient.

Background: Mindful eating is a concept that is increasingly being used to promote healthy eating. Observational studies have suggested associations with healthier eating behaviors, lower weight status, and favorable cardiovascular biomarkers. However, existing scales assessing mindful eating have some limitations.

Impact of liquid sublingual immunotherapy on asthma onset and progression in patients with allergic rhinitis: a nationwide population-based study (EfficAPSI study).

Background: The only disease-modifying treatment currently available for allergic rhinitis (AR) is allergen immunotherapy (AIT). The main objective of the EfficAPSI real-world study (RWS) was to evaluate the impact of liquid sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT-liquid) on asthma onset and evolution in AR patients.

Methods: An analysis with propensity score weighting was performed using the EfficAPSI cohort, comparing patients dispensed SLIT-liquid with patients dispensed AR symptomatic medication with no history of AIT (controls).

We report the case of a 7-year-old girl with severe generalized prurigo associated with diffuse persistent pruritic nodules due to sensitization to aluminum-adsorbed vaccines. Treatment with dupilumab resulted in an excellent therapeutic response.
