Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors (IMTs) are rare neoplastic lesions with a tendency for locally aggressive behavior and recurrence. IMTs most frequently occur in the soft tissues of children and young adults, with the lungs being the most commonly affected site; however, it has been recognized that any anatomical location may be involved. IMT in the jejunum is extremely rare, with only one case previously reported in the literature.

Background: Osteochondral allograft transplantation has a good clinical outcome, however, there is still debate on optimization of allograft storage protocol. Storage temperature and nutrient medium composition are the most critical factors for sustained biological activity of grafts before implantation. CFH-Ab-associated aHUS requires different diagnostic and therapeutic approaches and then the genetically defined aHUS forms. The risk of post-transplant recurrence with graft dysfunction in CFH-Ab aHUS is not well documented. It is suggested that recurrence can be expected if a significant CFH-Ab load persists at the time of transplantation.

Background: This is the first ever study on the planning of the supply and demand for radiographers in Lithuania. The aim of this study was to analyze the supply and demand for radiographers in the labor market with respect to their number, structure, and services, and to provide a prognosis for the period of 2012-2030.

Materials And Methods: Supply was calculated using two scenarios with differing duration of studies, annual student drop-out rates, rates of failure to start working, the annual number of new entrants into the labor market, and emigration rates.

Erythropoietin stimulating agents had a long haul in Lithuania--we had no epoetin till 1994 and there was no intravenous iron in 2001-2004. The aim of this study was to assess the changes of renal anemia control in hemodialysis patients from early independence of Lithuania till nowadays and to evaluate the link of anemia with hospitalization rates and survival and hemoglobin variability in association with mortality. In December of each year since 1996 all hemodialysis centers have been visited and data has been collected using special questionnaires.
