Background: HJ11 (HJ11 decoction), which is based on the traditional prescription Si-Miao-Yong-An decoction, has exerted a remarkable effect on atherosclerosis (AS). Nevertheless, the main components and underlying mechanisms of HJ11 for treating AS remain unclear.

Aim Of The Study: This study was designed to elucidate the mechanism of HJ11 in the treatment of AS through network pharmacology and in vivo experimental validation.

Clinical and Safety Outcomes Associated with Aristolochic Acid Exposure: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.

Introduction: The long-term immunogenicity, adverse effects, influencing factors, and protection from booster vaccines remain unclear. Specifically, little is known regarding the humoral immunity and breakthrough infections associated with COVID-19 booster immunization. Therefore, we evaluated the immunogenicity, reactogenicity, influencing factors, and protective effects of the first coronavirus disease booster vaccine 23 months before and after implementation of dynamic zero epidemic control measures among healthcare staff.

Exploring the role of inflammatory biomarkers in trigeminal neuralgia.

Background: Trigeminal neuralgia (TN) is a severe facial pain disorder with complex etiology. Inflammation has been suggested as a contributing factor to TN pathogenesis. This study investigates the causal relationship between inflammatory biomarkers, including 41 circulating inflammatory cytokines, C-reactive protein (CRP), and procalcitonin (PCT), and TN using Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis.

The Role of Ursodeoxycholic Acid Administration During the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Questionnaire Survey.

In December 2022, China classified COVID-19 as a category B infectious disease. This ended 2 years of close epidemiological surveillance of COVID-19. The objective of this questionnaire was to assess the infection status in the COVID-19 pandemic since December in Henan Province, China, and the prevalence of infection in people who were taking ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) during this period.

The effect of gut microbiome-targeted therapies in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease: a systematic review and network meta-analysis.

Background: The incidence of NAFLD is increasing. Preclinical evidences indicate that modulation of the gut microbiome could be a promising target in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.

Method: A systematic review and network meta-analysis was conducted to compare the effect of probiotics, synbiotics, prebiotics, fecal microbiota transplant, and antibiotics on the liver-enzyme, metabolic effects and liver-specific in patients with NAFLD.

Necroptosis is a finely regulated programmed cell death process involving complex molecular mechanisms and signal transduction networks. Among them, receptor-interacting protein kinase 1 (RIPK1), receptor-interacting protein kinase 3 (RIPK3) and mixed lineage kinase domain-like protein are the key molecules regulating this process. The use of pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) has demonstrated effectiveness in the management of femoral head osteonecrosis as well as nonunion fractures; however, the effects of PEMF on preventing glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis (GIOP) have not been extensively studied. The aim of this investigation was to explore the effectiveness of PEMF stimulation in averting GIOP in rats and uncover the potential fundamental mechanisms involved. Background: The main treatment methods for humeral shaft fractures include minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO), intramedullary nailing (IMN), open reduction and internal fixation (ORF), and non-operative treatment (NonOP). However, the optimal treatment plan remains unclear. This article utilizes a network meta-analysis to compare the therapeutic effects of MIPO, IMN, ORF, and NonOP for the treatment of humeral shaft fractures.

Mortality-related risk factors of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) has high mortality and poor prognosis, which brings enormous burdens to families and society. We conducted this meta-analysis to analyze and summarize the risk factors associated with mortality in IPF, hoping to provide reference for clinical prevention and treatment of IPF.

Methods: We conducted a comprehensive search of PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, and Web of Science from inception to August 10, 2023, to include cohort studies on mortality in patients with IPF.

IBI310 plus sintilimab vs. placebo plus sintilimab in recurrent/metastatic cervical cancer: A double-blind, randomized controlled trial.
