Use of BRASS in sedated critically-ill patients as a predictable mortality factor: BRASS-ICU.

: To demonstrate that a BRASS score≥ 3 at admission of intubated, ventilated and sedated patients is predictive of mortality: we have realized an Observational prospective multicenter study.All Major patients without neurological history, admitted to ICU for a non-neurological cause, sedated and admitted under mechanical ventilation were included.: One hundred and ten patients were included, the BRASS score as well as the FOUR and RASS scores were collected.

Predominance of G9P[8] rotavirus strains throughout France, 2014-2017.

Objectives: Group A rotavirus is a major cause of acute gastroenteritis in young children worldwide. A prospective surveillance network has been set up in France to investigate rotavirus infections and to detect the emergence of potentially epidemic strains.

Methods: From 2014 to 2017, rotavirus-positive stool samples were collected from 2394 children under 5 years old attending the paediatric emergency units of 13 large hospitals.

Diagnostic Accuracy of Seven Commercial Assays for Rapid Detection of Group A Rotavirus Antigens.

Seven commercial immunochromatographic assays intended for the detection of group A rotavirus antigens in human stool samples were evaluated. These assays showed similar levels of diagnostic accuracy and were suitable for the detection of rotavirus in patients with acute gastroenteritis but missed some asymptomatic rotavirus shedding identified by real-time reverse transcription-PCR.

Gemcitabine plus cisplatin versus chemoradiotherapy in locally advanced biliary tract cancer: Fédération Francophone de Cancérologie Digestive 9902 phase II randomised study.

Background: Chemoradiotherapy (CHRT) is often advocated for locally-advanced biliary tract cancer (LABTC). However there was not comparative study with chemotherapy alone (CH).

Patients And Methods: Patients with hilar or extrahepatic non-metastatic, LABTC could be included in this phase II trial.
