Introduction: Pemetrexed maintenance significantly improved progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) in advanced nonsquamous non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients not progressing after induction chemotherapy.
Objectives: This study is aimed at examine the association of various clinical factor and survival in a real-world cohort analysis.
Materials And Methods: One hundred ninety-four patients were included and classified as "PM" cohort ("Pemetrexed Maintenance", including patients given with pemetrexed maintenance after induction chemotherapy, n=112), and "noPM" cohort ("no Pemetrexed Maintenance" including those discontinuing pemetrexed, n=82).

Cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 inhibitors (CDK4/6i) in combination with endocrine therapy (ET) show meaningful efficacy and tolerability in patients with metastatic breast cancer (MBC), but the optimal sequence of ET has not been established. It is not clear if patients with lobular breast carcinomas (LBC) derive the same benefits when receiving second line CDK4/6i. This retrospective study compared the efficacy of palbociclib plus fulvestrant (PALBO-FUL) with everolimus plus exemestane (EVE-EXE) as second-line ET for hormone-resistant metastatic LBC.

The diagnosis of IgE-mediated egg allergy lies both on a compatible clinical history and on the results of skin prick tests (SPTs) and IgEs levels. Both tests have good sensitivity but low specificity. For this reason, oral food challenge (OFC) is the ultimate gold standard for the diagnosis.

Background: We retrospectively evaluated the efficacy of first-line epirubicin and docetaxel in patients with metastatic, hormonal receptor (HR)-positive, and human epidermal growth factor receptor-2-negative breast cancer. A subgroup analysis evaluated the predictive value of immunohistochemistry-defined luminal subtype.
Methods: We included patients with at least one visceral and measurable site of metastatic disease.

The addition of bevacizumab to standard chemotherapy has improved progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) in both first- and second line treatment, but the role of maintenance bevacizumab remains controversial. The association of various clinical factor and survival was examined in this retrospective cohort analysis. The clinical data from 220 previously untreated patients with mCRC, not progressive at the end of standard chemotherapy plus bevacizumab, were collected and analyzed.

Background: We evaluated the efficacy of gemcitabine and carboplatin for patients affected by pretreated metastatic breast cancer. A subgroup analysis was performed to evaluate the predictive value of immunohistochemically defined breast cancer subtypes.
Methods: We included human epidermal growth factor 2 (HER-2) negative metastatic breast cancer resistant to previous anthracycline-based and taxane-based chemotherapy, and HER-2 positive metastatic breast cancer with at least two progressions of disease during protracted trastuzumab-based therapy.

Background: For patients with stage IV nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who present with brain metastasis (BMs), standard platinum-based chemotherapy regimens have challenged the role of up-front whole-brain radiotherapy (WBRT).
Methods: In this survey, the authors analyzed the decision tree by which 6 oncologic centers guided the pattern of care in an unselected population of patients with NSCLC who presented with BMs at first diagnosis. The impact of front-line, platinum-based chemotherapy also was evaluated.
