Organizing pneumonia (OP) is a rare inflammatory lung disease with a difficult diagnosis and sparse mentions in the literature. In most cases, the etiology is unknown but may be associated with infections, systemic disorders, exposure to industrial toxins and environmental pollutants, or even drug toxicity. This report describes a 77-year-old male who presented to the hospital with nonproductive cough, myalgias, fever, and progressive weight loss after prolonged exposure to sodium hypochlorite.

Myotendinous junction injuries are rare and often present with distinctive imaging findings that should be differentiated from purely tendinous degenerative ruptures. Myotendinous junction tears are common in the lower limb but rarely involve rotator cuff muscles. Considering rotator cuff muscles, the infraspinatus and supraspinatus muscles are the most frequently implicated.

Introduction: Emerging evidence points to an association between severe clinical presentation of COVID-19 and increased risk of thromboembolism. One-third of patients hospitalized due to severe COVID-19 develops macrovascular thrombotic complications, including venous thromboembolism, myocardial injury/infarction and stroke. Concurrently, the autopsy series indicate multiorgan damage pattern consistent with microvascular injury.

Phosphopenic rickets may be caused by mutations in the PHEX gene (phosphate regulating endopeptidase homolog X-linked). Presently, more than 500 mutations in the PHEX gene have been found to cause hypophosphatemic rickets. The authors report a clinical case of a 4-year-old girl with unremarkable family history, who presented with failure to thrive and bowing of the legs.

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a noninvasive imaging technique well established for DME but less used to assess neovascularization in PDR. Developments in OCT imaging and the introduction of OCT angiography (OCTA) have shown significant potential in PDR.

Hemorrhoidal disease (HD) is a frequent health problem with considerable repercussions on patients' quality of life. However, much of the clinical practice related to HD is based on knowledge without scientific evidence and supported largely by empirical experience of the physician who deals with this pathology. As in other countries, the goal of this consensus is to establish statements supported by solid scientific evidence and whose purpose will be to standardize and guide the diagnosis and management of HD both in the general population and in some particular groups of patients.

Introduction: The standard of care for acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) includes the activation of a STEMI care network, the administration of adjuvant medical therapy, and reperfusion through primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). While primary PCI is nowadays the first option for the treatment of patients with STEMI, antithrombotic therapy, including antiplatelet and anticoagulant agents, is the cornerstone of pharmacological treatment to optimize their clinical outcomes.
Objective: The aim of this study was to describe contemporaneous real-world patterns of use of antithrombotic treatments in Portugal for STEMI patients undergoing primary PCI.
