Objective: To elucidate if a nonpositive <1-cm resection margin has any effect on hepatic recurrence in patients undergoing liver resection for colorectal liver metastases.
Patients And Methods: Six hundred and nine patients underwent 663 liver resections. Patients with positive margin were excluded from the analysis.

Aim: The hypothesis that patients with hyperglycaemia during admission, regardless of previous diagnosis of diabetes, have worse prognosis than those with normal glucose values is controversial. The objective was to assess the role of hyperglycaemia on short-term mortality after myocardial infarction (MI).
Methods And Results: A cohort study nested in a prospective registry of MI patients in the reference hospital of Gerona, Spain was performed.

The lesions produced by the expansive wave are characteristic of severe injury produced by explosion. This type of injury is being classified as primary lesion. We report a 28 years old male patient who suffered amputation of both lower extremities associated with hypovolemic shock.
