Introduction: Prostate cancer (PCa) ranks second among prevalent cancers in men, necessitating effective screening tools such as multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) with the prostate imaging reporting and data system (PI-RADS) classification. This study explores the impact of lesion volume on clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa) detection rates in PI-RADS 3-5 lesions, aiming to contribute insights into the underexplored relationship between lesion size and csPCa detection.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on data from 754 patients undergoing mpMRI-guided transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) prostate biopsy between January 2016 and 2023.

Variants in RAC3, encoding a small GTPase RAC3 which is critical for the regulation of actin cytoskeleton and intracellular signal transduction, are associated with a rare neurodevelopmental disorder with structural brain anomalies and facial dysmorphism. We investigated a cohort of 10 unrelated participants presenting with global psychomotor delay, hypotonia, behavioural disturbances, stereotyped movements, dysmorphic features, seizures and musculoskeletal abnormalities. MRI of brain revealed a complex pattern of variable brain malformations, including callosal abnormalities, white matter thinning, grey matter heterotopia, polymicrogyria/dysgyria, brainstem anomalies and cerebellar dysplasia.

Background: We investigated associations between baseline use of immunosuppressive drugs and severity of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in autoimmune hepatitis (AIH).
Patients And Methods: Data of AIH patients with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 were retrospectively collected from 15 countries. The outcomes of AIH patients who were on immunosuppression at the time of COVID-19 were compared to patients who were not on AIH medication.

Background And Aims: Data regarding outcome of COVID-19 in patients with autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) are lacking.
Approach And Results: We performed a retrospective study on patients with AIH and COVID-19 from 34 centers in Europe and the Americas. We analyzed factors associated with severe COVID-19 outcomes, defined as the need for mechanical ventilation, intensive care admission, and/or death.

Objectives: Elvitegravir/cobicistat/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide (E/C/F/TAF) is a recommended and widely used regimen for HIV infection. In this study, we aimed to determine the efficacy and safety of E/C/F/TAF in people living with HIV (PLWH), who are either treatment-naïve or switched from any tenofovir disoproxil fumarate-containing regimen. For switched patients, we aimed to determine the impact of switching from tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) to TAF on lipid profile and kidney functions.

Candidemia is a nosocomial infection mostly found in critically ill patients. Our objectives were to evaluate the change in distribution and resistance profile of Candida spp. isolated from candidemic patients in our intensive care unit over two 5-year periods spanning 15 years and to evaluate the risk factors.

Membranous Nephropathy (MN) is a rare autoimmune cause of kidney failure. Here we report a genome-wide association study (GWAS) for primary MN in 3,782 cases and 9,038 controls of East Asian and European ancestries. We discover two previously unreported loci, NFKB1 (rs230540, OR = 1.

Objective: General anesthesia causes reduction of functional residual capacity. And this decrease can lead to atelectasis and intrapulmonary shunting in the lung. In this study we want to evaluate the effects of 5 and 10cmHO PEEP levels on gas exchange, hemodynamic, respiratory mechanics and systemic stress response in laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Objective: The local anesthetics may cause neurotoxicity. We aimed to compare the neurotoxic potential of different local anesthetics, local anesthetic induced nerve damage and pathological changes of a peripheral nerve.
Methods: Sixty Wistar rats weighing 200-350g were studied.

Objective: Salbutamol has previously been shown to increase the QT dispersion (QTd), which may be associated with high risk of cardiac arrhythmia in asthmatics. Cardiac effects of salbutamol occur in dose-related manner and salbutamol dose given by metered-dose inhaler (MDI) during acute asthma attack is commonly lower than the dose given by nebulizer. This prospective cohort study aimed to assess the effect of salbutamol given by MDI on QTd in the course of moderate acute asthma attack.
