Background: Prostate cancer is one of the main tumors worldwide, its treatment is multidisciplinary, includes radiotherapy in all stages: curative, radical, adjuvant, salvage and palliative. Technological advances in planning systems, image acquisition and treatment equipment have allowed the delivery of higher doses limiting toxicity in healthy tissues, distributing radiation optimally and ensuring reproducibility of conditions. Image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT) is not standard in guidelines, only recommended with heterogeneity in its own process.

Introduction: Organ and tissue donation and transplantation represent the most important therapeutic advance of current times. The cornea is, by far, one of the most transplanted tissues worldwide due to the immune privilege of this tissue, as well as the advances in microsurgery, existence of cornea banks, preservation of corneas, and use of anti-rejection therapy. However, many patients with successful corneal transplants (with clear corneas) experience poor vision in the post-operative period due to irregular astigmatism, or other complications.

Macrophages are presents in the tumor microenvironment and acquire different phenotypic and functional characteristics in response to microenvironmental signals. Macrophages can be differentiated into two phenotypes: M1 or pro-inflammatory (classically activated), and M2 or anti-inflammatory macrophage (alternatively activated). In response to the microenvironment, macrophages activate transcription factors as STAT1 and NF-κB-p65 for M1 macrophages or STAT3 and STAT6 for M2 macrophages; activation impacts on the profile of cytokine, chemokines and growth factors secreted by macrophages.

The use of kidney grafts with aneurysmal disease involving the renal arteries for transplantation is very uncommon and relatively controversial. We herein present the case of a 52-year-old woman who volunteered to become a living-nonrelated donor; during the preoperative imaging workup, a computed tomography angiography revealed a 1.5-cm saccular aneurysm in the left kidney, while the contralateral renal artery was normal.

Unlabelled: Several studies have demonstrated that the serum of patients with cancer contains antibodies that react with a group of autoantigens denominated tumor-associated antigens (TAA). TAA can be detected prior to clinical diagnosis; thus, they would be ideal biomarkers for early detection of cancer, using only a few microliters of a patient's serum. In the current study, we used an immune proteomic approach, combining two-dimensional (2D) electrophoresis, Western blot, and matrix-associated laser desorption/ionization-mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS) methods to identify TAA in the sera of patients diagnosed with breast cancer.
