Background: Multiple studies have demonstrated the utility of sonication to improve culture yield in patients with cardiovascular implantable electronic device (CIED) infections.
Objective: To analyze the usefulness of sonication in the microbiological diagnosis of CIED infections in comparison with traditional cultures.
Methods: Systematic database searches were performed to identify studies that provided enough data concerning both sensitivity and specificity of traditional (non-sonicated) and sonicated cultures from CIED samples.

Introduction: Diagnosing moderate haemophilia A (MHA) solely based on deficient FVIII protein levels limits its optimal management and delays the initiation of prophylaxis. Updating protocols and incorporating new variables into its diagnosis could prevent underestimating disease severity, avoiding early arthropathies and impairing patients' quality of life.
Aim: To propose recommendations to improve the comprehensive management of people with MHA.

Background: Chronic heart failure (CHF) is a major health problem, representing the main cause of hospitalization in people over 65 years of age. Several studies have associated the Mediterranean diet with a cardioprotective function, improving prognoses in patients with high cardiovascular risk. Our main objective is to determine whether higher adherence to the Mediterranean diet is associated with a lower severity of CHF, based on the number of decompensations and disease complications.

Aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL) in children, adolescents, and young adults (CAYA) include Burkitt lymphoma (BL), diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and a subset of high-grade tumors with features intermediate between these entities whose genetic and molecular profiles have not been completely elucidated. In this study, we have characterized 37 aggressive B-NHL in CAYA, 33 with high-grade morphology, and 4 DLBCL with MYC rearrangement (MYC-R), using targeted next-generation sequencing and the aggressive lymphoma gene expression germinal center B-cell-like (GCB), activated B-cell-like (ABC), and dark zone signatures (DZsig). Twenty-two tumors had MYC-R without BCL2 breaks, and two MYC-non-R cases had BCL6 translocations.

Background: Predicting which patients with prodromal AD (pAD) will imminently convert to dementia may be paramount in a memory clinical setting, especially with potential disease-modifying therapies on the horizon.
Objective: To explore a practical tool for this prediction, combining cognitive tests and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers.
Methods: We designed a longitudinal prospective, observational, and multicenter study, enrolling patients with pAD.
Purpose: The IMMUNOSARC trial combined an antiangiogenic agent (sunitinib) with a PD1 inhibitor (nivolumab) in advanced sarcomas. Here, we present the first correlative studies of the soft-tissue sarcoma cohort enrolled in this trial.
Experimental Design: Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded and peripheral blood samples were collected at baseline and week 13.

Background: Few data are available on metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) treated with late-line regorafenib monotherapy or combined with other therapies. This study thus aimed to examine regorafenib combined with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) compared with regorafenib monotherapy in patients with advanced CRC.
Methods: This single-center retrospective cohort study included patients with advanced CRC who experienced recurrence and progression after standard first- and second-line treatments treatment from November 2018 to December 2021.
