Bronchogenic cysts are rare congenital malformations that occur in adults and children, with differences in distribution and presentation. We present the case of a newborn who initiated respiratory distress from the first minutes of life, presenting with hypoventilation and rightward displacement of the cardiac impulse, requiring oxygen therapy and intubation. The first radiograph shows a left pulmonary emphysema.

Importance And Objective: Menopausal hormone therapy (HT) is widely used, and there are several statements of international scientific societies to guide prescribers; however, a summary of existing literature about possible drug interactions with HT does not exist, although many midlife women take medications for other conditions. Therefore, our objective was to create a document that presents and synthesizes the most relevant interactions. The impact of the interaction itself and the number of candidates for HT who are likely to use other treatments are considered based on the best available evidence.

To develop and validate a novel instrument for assessing adherence to OAAs, based on the reported experiences of people with cancer in relation to their treatment and the opinions of the healthcare professionals who care for them. We performed a multicenter validation study of a scale designed to assess adherence to OAAs.

Introduction: Controversy exists regarding the indication of beta-blockers (BB) in different scenarios in patients with cardiovascular disease. We sought to evaluate the effect of BB on survival and heart failure (HF) hospitalizations in a sample of pacemaker-dependent patients after AV node ablation to control ventricular rate for atrial tachyarrhythmias.
Methods: A retrospective study including consecutive patients that underwent AV node ablation was conducted in a single center between 2011 and 2019.

Transmission is a driver of tuberculosis (TB) epidemics in high-burden regions, with assumed negligible impact in low-burden areas. However, we still lack a full characterization of transmission dynamics in settings with similar and different burdens. Genomic epidemiology can greatly help to quantify transmission, but the lack of whole genome sequencing population-based studies has hampered its application.

Material And Methods: We performed a retrospective cohort study of patients treated with HOT for HRC symptoms in a provincial referral centre from 2010 to 2020. We evaluated clinical response to treatment, number of hospitalizations due to HRC and subjective response using the PGI-I questionnaire.

Objectives: MEMOGAL study (NCT04319081) is aimed at evaluating changes in cognitive function in patients treated with PCSK9 inhibitors (PCSK9i). This is the first analysis: (1) discussion about the role of the Hospital Pharmacists during the pandemic, and also the assessment of the impact of COVID-19 in the lipid control; (2) descriptive analysis; (3) effectiveness in LDL cholesterol (LDL-c) reduction of alirocumab and evolocumab; (4) communicate PCSK9i safety.
Material And Methods: It is a prospective Real-World Evidence analysis of patients that take PCSK9i for the first time in the usual clinical practice, and they are included after the first dispensation in the public pharmacy consultations of 12 Hospitals in Galicia from May 2020 to April 2021.

Introduction And Objectives: There are models for cardiovascular risk prediction in the general population, but the prediction of risk in postmenopausal women has not been specifically studied. This study aimed to determine the association of lifestyle habits and chronic diseases with cardiovascular risk in menopausal women, as well as to build a risk scale.
Methods: Retrospective population-based cohort study using data from the 2011 National Health Survey of Spain as a data source, Women ≥ 50 years were included.

Objective: Inertia has been described as one of the causes of persistent poor glycemic control. The aim of this study was to evaluate, after one year of implementation in a health area, the effect of an intervention to improve the degree of glycemic control of patients with type 2 diabetes (DM2).
Methods: A pre-post intervention study was carried out in one health department during 2018.

Lack of adherence constitutes one of the most important challenges in patients undergoing treatment with oral antineoplastic drugs (ANEO). Understanding cancer patients' experiences with respect to their medication is key for optimizing adherence and therapeutic results. We aimed to assess the medication experience (ME) in patients with cancer in treatment with ANEO, to describe the barriers and facilitators related to the disease and its treatment and to compare them with the healthcare professionals' perspectives.

Objective: In the laparoscopic/robotic repair (L/R R) of Vesico-vaginal Fistulas (VVF) two types of transvesical and extravesical approaches are used. However, no direct comparisons exist between both surgical approaches Moreover, a lack of clinical guidelines is currently ongoing. Therefore, the selection of the type of approach is based on the preferences of the surgeon without considering the characteristics of each case.

Background: Intravenous infusion of adenosine is considered standard practice for fractional flow reserve (FFR) assessment but is associated with adverse side-effects and is time-consuming. Intracoronary bolus injection of adenosine is better tolerated by patients, cheaper, and less time-consuming. However, current literature remains fragmented and modestly sized regarding the equivalence of intracoronary versus intravenous adenosine.

The success of mammalian fertilization depends largely on spermatozoa physiological events. However, the manner in which endometriosis influence morpho-functional spermatozoa biomarkers is poorly defined. Here, we studied in vitro the effect of peritoneal fluid (PF) from women with endometriosis (PFE) and non-endometriosis (PFNE) on spermatozoa parameters.

Background: Whole genome sequencing provides better delineation of transmission clusters in Mycobacterium tuberculosis than traditional methods. However, its ability to reveal individual transmission links within clusters is limited. Here, we used a 2-step approach based on Bayesian transmission reconstruction to (1) identify likely index and missing cases, (2) determine risk factors associated with transmitters, and (3) estimate when transmission happened.
