Objective: To find an adequate cut-off point for beta trace protein (β-TP) in nasal secretion (NS) and validate this diagnostic test with a large sample of patients. Likewise, we evaluated β-TP test efficacy to confirm the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage closure after treatment.
Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis with 207 samples from 162 patients with suspected CSF leakage received in the Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca between 2010 and 2016.

Long-term humoral immunity and its protective role in liver transplantation (LT) patients have not been elucidated. We performed a prospective multicenter study to assess the persistence of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies in LT recipients 12 months after coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). A total of 65 LT recipients were matched with 65 nontransplanted patients by a propensity score including variables with recognized impact on COVID-19.

We aim to describe the time-to-delivery interval and maternal and perinatal outcomes when such values are demonstrated while assessing suspected or confirmed placental dysfunction based on clinical or sonographic criteria. Methods and Results A multicenter retrospective cohort study was performed on 237 singleton gestations between 20+0 and 37+0 weeks included at the time of first demonstrating a sFlt-1/PlGF ratio >655.

Background: Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is a heterogeneous bone disorder characterized by recurrent fractures. Although most cases of OI have heterozygous mutations in or and show autosomal dominant inheritance, during the last years there has been an explosion in the number of genes responsible for both recessive and dominant forms of this condition. Herein, we have analyzed a cohort of patients with OI, all offspring of unaffected parents, to determine the spectrum of variants accounting for these cases.

It was originally described in patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder as a "primary" condition; however, subsequent reports have included heterogeneous clinical populations. We wished to reassess patients with this diagnosis at our own institution and also revisit the literature to provide an overview of this condition.

Our purpose was to determine the success and complications rate of this technique.
Patients And Method: We treated 50 patients who had iatrogenic femoral pseudoanerysms using direct thrombin injection.
Introduction And Objectives: The geographic characteristic and healthcare facilities of the region of Murcia, Spain, are enough to assure that coronary angioplasty can be carried out in acute myocardial infarction according to current guidelines. The development of a regional program for coronary intervention in acute myocardial infarction may increase the number of patients who would benefit from reperfusion therapy in general and primary angioplasty in particular.
Material And Methods: The program was initiated in April 2000 and had four steps: 1) Establishment of primary angioplasty as the treatment of choice of acute myocardial infarction in the regional reference hospital.
Introduction And Objectives: Numerous variations of the head-up tilt-table test potentiated with nitrates have been reported. After the administration of nitroglycerin, between 10 and 25 min of continued tilting have been recommended. The aim of this study was to assess the optimal duration of the pharmacological phase of the head-up tilt-table test potentiated with sublingual administration of nitroglycerin spray (NTG-TT).

This situation, aggravated by a high degree of resistance, has led to the present prospective study, designed to establish the incidence of Acinetobacter colonization and to investigate the role of risk factors and their relation to environmental colonization.
Methods: Serial sampling of all patients from the time of ICU admission to discharge.
