Introduction: This multicenter prospective study sponsored by the (GETH-TC) explores the use of frailty assessments in allo-HCT candidates.

Methods: Frailty was measured using the HCT Frailty Scale at first consultation and HCT admission in 404 adults from 15 HCT programs in Spain. Based on the results, patients were classified into fit, pre-frail and frail categories.

Comprehensive Clinical and Genetic Characterization of a Spanish Cohort of 22 Patients With Bainbridge-Ropers Syndrome.

Bainbridge-Ropers Syndrome (BRPS) is a genetic condition resulting from truncating variants in the ASXL3 gene. The clinical features include neurodevelopmental and language impairments, behavioral issues, hypotonia, feeding difficulties, and distinctive facial features. In this retrospective study, we analyzed 22 Spanish individuals with BRPS, aiming to perform a detailed clinical and molecular description and establish a genotype-phenotype correlation.

"Effectiveness and tolerability of intravenous fosfomycin in treating complicated urinary tract infections caused by Escherichia coli: A prospective cohort study from the FOSFO-MIC Project".

Objectives: The FOSFO-MIC study assessed the clinical and microbiological effectiveness, and safety of intravenous fosfomycin in treating complicated urinary tract infections (cUTIs) caused by Escherichia coli, in comparison with other intravenous antimicrobials.

Methods: A prospective, multinational matched-cohorts study involving adults with community-acquired cUTIs and receiving targeted therapy with intravenous fosfomycin or other first-line drugs (beta-lactams or fluoroquinolones) was conducted from November 2019 to May 2023 in 10 centres from Spain, Italy, and Türkiye. Matching criteria included healthcare-relation, Charlson and Pitt scores.

Background: The ORBE II study showed the real-world effectiveness of benralizumab in severe eosinophilic asthma (SEA). This subgroup analysis aimed to characterize patients and outcomes based on baseline blood eosinophil count (BEC) and/or fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) levels.

Methods: In this analysis of the ORBE II retrospective study, SEA patients receiving benralizumab were categorized into subgroups based on individual or combined BEC/FeNO levels, according to the following thresholds: high BEC (hiBEC): ≥300 cells/μL; low BEC (loBEC): <300 cells/μL; high FeNO (hiFeNO): ≥50 ppb; low FeNO (loFeNO): <50 ppb.

Introduction Y Objectives: Tako-tsubo syndrome (TTS) is a cardiac condition that mimics acute coronary syndrome, characterized by transient left ventricular dysfunction in the absence of culprit coronary artery stenosis. Although its etiology remains unknown, reversible microvascular dysfunction secondary to an adrenergic surge is thought to play a role. Treatment is empirical, although most patients receive beta-blockers (BB) in clinical practice.
