Objective: National hip fracture registries have been established in several countries and recent publications show that the care process has been audited inspecting the representativeness according to quality standards. The aim of this study was to analyse if the Spanish National Hip Fracture Registry (RNFC) represents the Spanish population aged 75 and older admitted for hip fractures, and to compare its results regarding the care process with the national average, according to the National Inpatient register (Minimum Basic Dataset, CMBD).

Methods: The 2017-2018 National Minimum Basic Dataset (Conjunto Mínimo Básico de Datos, CMBD) was used as reference.

Objective: Nursing homes have suffered in a particularly pronounced way from the effects of COVID-19 so it is very convenient to know the evolution in them of the disease and the impact of SARS-CoV2 vaccination The objective of this study was to analyze COVID-19 pandemic evolution from the start of the second wave to the end of the vaccination campaign at the nursing homes. Background And Objective: Lung ultrasound is an inherently user-dependent modality that could benefit from quantitative image analysis. In this pilot study we evaluate the use of computer-based pleural line (p-line) ultrasound features in comparison to traditional lung texture (TLT) features to test the hypothesis that p-line thickening and irregularity are highly suggestive of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and can be used to improve the disease diagnosis on lung ultrasound.

Objective: During the state of alarm and once the confinement decreed by the COVID-19 pandemic ended, a cross-sectorial study was carried out in Spain between May 4 and 22, 2020 by volunteers who completed a self-administered online survey. The objective of this study was to know how the confinement period affected the consumption of tobacco and other related products in the adult Spanish population.

Methods: The survey consisted of 18 questions concerning sociodemographic characteristics, the consumption of tobacco and other related products, exposure to secondhand smoke and perception of COVID-19 risk associated with consumption.

Objectives: In recent years, there has been a rise concerning the research and development of focal prostate cancer therapies as a consequence of the high percentage of low-risk and localized prostate cancers. These focal therapies aim at preserving the gland in selected patients to avoid overtreatment.
