The progression and distribution of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic are continuously changing over time and can be traced by blood donors' serological survey. Here, we investigated the seroprevalence of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in blood donors in Nuevo Leon, Mexico during 2020 as a strategy for the rapid evaluation of the spread of SARS-CoV-2 and asymptomatic case detection. We collected residual plasma samples from blood donors who attended two regional donation centers from January to December of 2020 to identify changes in anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG prevalence.

A concordant leukemia is that which occurs in a pair of monozygotic twins; a similar genetic background suggests an monoclonal origin. We present the case of a pair of monozygotic infants with concordant acute myeloid leukemia who underwent a peripheral blood hematopoietic stem-cell transplant (HSCT) from a single, younger human leukocyte antigen-identical sibling donor, using a fractioned graft collected during only one apheresis procedure. Twin A relapsed at +456 and received a second haploidentical HSCT from his father, twin B has been in complete remission since the first HSCT.

Hematopoietic stem cell donors (HSCDs) may have ambivalent feelings about donation. These feelings are related to moral obligation to help a sick relative and/or fear about the donation procedure. This ambivalence can produce moral distress (MD) and anxiety, which are usually unnoticed by the treating physician.

"Serrated polyps" is the term used for epithelial lesions of the colon and rectum that have a "sawtooth" pattern on the polyp's surface and crypt epithelium. The so-called serrated pathway describes the progression of sessile serrated adenomas and traditional serrated adenomas to colorectal cancer. Said pathway is well recognized as an alternative mechanism of carcinogenesis and accounts for 15-30% of the cases of colorectal cancer.

Purpose: To compare the bone fusion of freeze-dried allograft alone versus freeze-dried allograft combined autograft in spinal instrumentation due to spondylodiscitis.
Methods: A randomized prospective trial of patients with spondylodiscitis treated with surgical debridement and spinal fixation with freeze-dried bone allograft and autograft (Group 1) or freeze-dried bone allograft alone (Group 2) was performed. Patient follow-up was assessed with a CT-scan for bone fusion; consecutive serum inflammatory marker detection (C-reactive protein, [CRP], and erythrocyte sedimentation rate, [ESR]) and clinical assessment (pain, functional disability, and spinal cord injury recovery) were other outcome parameters.

Introduction.: (HV) is a complex forefoot pathology, in which interest has recently been shown in the distal rotational component (CR) of the first metatarsal due to its relationship with postsurgical relapses of the deformity. The selection of surgical technique is controversial with little current literature on the correction of rotation with common osteotomies.

Corticotroph tumors (CTs) are pituitary neoplasms arising from the Tpit lineage, which may or not express adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH). Functioning CTs cause Cushing's disease (CD), which has high morbidity and mortality due to hypercortisolemia. "Non-functioning" or silent CTs (SCT) and the Crooke's cell subtypes do not cause CD and may be asymptomatic until manifested by compressive symptoms and are more frequently found as macroadenoma.

Background: Continuous glucose monitoring systems are increasingly being adopted as an alternative to self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) by persons with diabetes mellitus receiving insulin therapy.
Main Body: The FreeStyle Libre flash glucose monitoring system (Abbott Diabetes Care, Witney, United Kingdom) consists of a factory-calibrated sensor worn on the back of the arm which measures glucose levels in the interstitial fluid every minute and stores the reading automatically every 15 min. Swiping the reader device over the sensor retrieves stored data and displays current interstitial glucose levels, a glucose trend arrow, and a graph of glucose readings over the preceding 8 h.

Purpose: To explore the potential of radiomics texture features as potential biomarkers to enable detection of the presence of mutation and prediction of 5-year overall survival (OS) in stage IV colorectal cancer (CRC).
Materials And Methods: In this retrospective study, a total of 145 patients (mean age, 61 years ± 14 [standard deviation {SD}]; 68 female patients and 77 male patients) with stage IV CRC who underwent molecular profiling and pretreatment contrast material-enhanced CT scans between 2004 and 2018 were included. Tumor radiomics texture features, including the mean, the SD, the mean value of positive pixels (MPP), skewness, kurtosis, and entropy, were extracted from regions of interest on CT images after applying three Laplacian-of-Gaussian filters known as spatial scaling factors (SSFs) (SSF = 2, fine; SSF = 4, medium; SSF = 6, coarse) by using specialized software; values of these parameters were also obtained without filtration (SSF = 0).
