[Evaluation of hepatitis B vaccination in newborns at high risk of infection by vertical transmission].

Objective: Hepatitis B (HB) is a preventable disease and a public health challenge due to its high morbidity and mortality. This study was conducted within the framework of the World Health Organization's strategy, which includes establishing prophylactic measures to prevent vertical transmission. The aim was to assess the degree of implementation of HB preventive measures to avoid vertical transmission in newborns in Spain.

In esophagogastric surgery, the appearance of an anastomotic leak is the most feared complication. Early diagnosis is important for optimal management and successful resolution. Objective: Mercury (Hg) is a toxic metal, and dietary exposure is the main one in humans, especially fish consumption. In order to reduce Hg exposure, maximum levels in fish products have been established. We aimed to describe total mercury (THg) and methylmercury (MeHg) concentrations in fish species consumed in Comunitat Valenciana, as well as factors associated and their tendency during the period 2011-2017.

Feasibility and efficacy of the Vojta therapy in subacromial impingement syndrome: a randomized controlled trial.

Subacromial impingement syndrome (IS) is a common disorder associated with functional impairment and disability of the shoulder. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of Vojta therapy (VT) techniques compared with standard therapy (ST) in patients with subacromial IS. A randomized controlled trial was performed, with 60 patients with IS (mean age, 61±12 years) randomized into two groups: ST (n=30) and ST plus Vojta therapy (SVT, n=30).

[Impact of COVID-19 in spanish urology residents: Recommendations and perspective].

The COVID-19 pandemic has seriously disrupted the day-to-day running of hospitals, affecting the activity of all medical and surgical departments. It has also affected urology residents, depriving them of training at their usual workplaces and forcing them to support COVID units. This has implied not only the loss of daily activities, but also the uncertainty of job opportunities for the final year residents.

Pseudolymphomatous folliculitis is a rare entity included among the cutaneous pseudolymphomas. A 32-year-old man, with an unremarkable medical history, presented with a two-month history of an asymptomatic solitary nodule on his left cheek. Histopathological examination demonstrated a dense nodular and diffuse dermal lymphocytic infiltrate with numerous histiocytes and dendritic cells that surrounded hypertrophic hair follicles.

Massive gastrointestinal pneumatosis in a patient with celiac disease and superior mesenteric artery syndrome.

Pneumatosis intestinalis (PI) is a radiological finding representing the presence of gas in the bowell, independently of the cause or location. We present the case of a 55-year-old man who was admitted presenting two-week history of intense vomiting. The patient was previously diagnosed with superior mesenteric artery syndrome and celiac disease.

[Adherence, satisfaction and health-related quality of life in HIV-infected patients with antiretroviral therapy in Spain. The ARPAS study].

Objective: To determine the relationship between satisfaction with antiretroviral therapy (ART), adherence and quality of life (QoL) in adult patients diagnosed with HIV infection and ART according to the posologic load.

Method: Multicenter, observational and cross-sectional study. Socio-demographic, clinical and of posologic load (1, 2-4 or > 4 tablets/day), adherence (SMAQ, dispensation recordings (DR) and visual analogical scale), satisfaction (ESART questionnaire) and QoL (MOS-HIV) variables were gathered.

Urinoma secondary to ureteropelvic junction obstruction in the neonate. Presentation of a case and bibliographic review.

Objective: To analyze the management of prenatal urinoma and ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO) postnatally by a case report and literature review.

Methods: We report a case of an UPJO and urinoma in a newborn. After birth, renal function was absent, and nephrectomy was performed.
