Background: Following total sacrectomy, the continuity between the spine and pelvis is necessary for ambulation and to enable patients to resume daily living activities sooner during rehabilitation. Reconstructing spinopelvic stability after a total sacrectomy is a challenge that has not yet been overcome. Thus, the objectives of the present study are as follows:Establish a new system of reconstructing the spinopelvic region after a total sacrectomy using a rapid prototyping technique to design the sacral replacement pieces.

Background And Importance: A higher incidence of venous thromboembolism [both pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis (DVT)] in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been described. But little is known about the true frequency of DVT in patients who attend emergency department (ED) and are diagnosed with COVID-19.
Objective: We investigated the incidence, risk factors, clinical characteristics and outcomes of DVT in patients with COVID-19 attending the ED before hospitalization.

Introduction: To describe a single case, the fourth ever reported, of pleomorphic liposarcoma of the spine and to undertake a review of the literature.
Presentation Of Case: A 60 year old male patient had a bilateral lumbosciatica over a 3 month period. Imaging tests revealed a tumor mass in L1-L3 and a fracture in L2.

Since the introduction of bone-anchored hearing aids (BAHA) a few decades ago, their effectiveness has made the use of these devices a well-established method. The most common complications associated with BAHA are dermatological, so a lot of changes were introduced in the surgical technique to reduce the frequency of skin reactions. We have analyzed our experience in the management of the skin and soft tissues over 8 years' experience with BAHA.

Pre-eclampsia is a serious obstetric complication associated with a high rate of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. We report the case of a woman with a medical history of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus and seizures possibly related to hypoglycemia who was admitted for an emergency cesarian due to severe pre-eclampsia and macrosomic fetus. In the first hour after delivery she experienced loss of consciousness and seizure, with vaginal bleeding and hypovolemic shock.
