Introduction: The most frequent form of diabetes in pediatric patients is polygenic autoimmune diabetes (T1D), but single-gene variants responsible for autoimmune diabetes have also been described. Both disorders share clinical features, which can lead to monogenic forms being misdiagnosed as T1D. However, correct diagnosis is crucial for therapeutic choice, prognosis and genetic counseling.

Background And Objectives: Primary objectives: to compare the rates of sustained clinical remission at 12 months in patients treated with antitumour necrosis factor (anti-TNF) and immunomodulators who withdraw anti-TNF treatment versus those who maintain it.
Secondary Objectives: to evaluate the effect of anti-TNF withdrawal on relapse-free time, endoscopic and radiological activity, safety, quality of life and work productivity; and to identify predictive factors for relapse.
Design: Prospective, quadruple-blind, multicentre, randomised, controlled trial.

Osteosarcoma is a rare disease, but it is the most frequent malignant bone tumor. Primary treatment consists of preoperative MAP (methotrexate (MTX), doxorubicin and cisplatin) chemotherapy followed by surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy. Pathological response to preoperative chemotherapy is one of the most important prognostic factors, but molecular biomarkers are lacking.

Hereditary transthyretin amyloidosis (ATTRv) is an autosomal-dominant systemic disease, where amyloid fibrils accumulate especially in the peripheral and autonomic nervous systems and in the heart. The aim of the present work was to outline the follow-up and type of management received by asymptomatic carriers (ACs) and stage 1 ATTRv patients in Spain. A cross-sectional, non-interventional study was conducted throughout seven experienced hospitals in Spain.

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is challenging to treat because of its lack of specific molecular targets. The IMMUNOPEG study aimed to evaluate a novel structured method for interpreting TNBC immunohistochemistry specimens processed with VENTANA PD-L1 (SP142) assay. The study involved 10 pathologists who evaluated 50 different immunohistochemistry specimens of TNBC with programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression considered challenging and that were previously evaluated by the scientific committee, using the NAVIFY Digital Pathology platform.

Objective: The most common severe exfoliative condition is toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN), also known as Lyell's syndrome, for which patients may sometimes require admission to hospital burns units. This study analyses the experience of the authors and results in this condition at the Cruces University Hospital in Bilbao, Spain.
Method: Over the last 22 years, the authors carried out a retrospective analytical observational study of TEN cases at the hospital and analysed risk factors including age, associated comorbidities, percentage of body surface area affected, positive bacterial culture, and treatment strategies used to assess their potential influence on prognosis.

Background: Coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) are an increasingly common cause of infective endocarditis (IE) and lack recent data from large studies.
Objectives: Our aim was to describe the epidemiology, clinical characteristics, and outcomes of staphylococcal IE in a contemporary nationwide cohort study, while comparing coagulase-negative staphylococcal IE (CoNSIE) to IE from Staphylococcus aureus (SAIE), and among IE caused by Staphylococcus epidermidis (SE), S. lugdunensis (SL), and other CoNS.

: Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Fatty Liver Disease (MAFLD) increases the risk of Type-2 Diabetes (T2DM). The Mediterranean diet (MD) has shown advantages in the management of MAFLD and preventing co-morbidities; however, its relationship with T2DM development in MAFLD has been less investigated. We aimed to evaluate the association of MD adherence with the risk of incident T2DM in the Spanish adult population with MAFLD and according to their weight gain at 7.

Neuroblastoma (NB) is the most common extracranial solid cancer in children. Despite intensive multimodality treatment, long-term survival of patients with high-risk NB, which comprises more than half of all cases, remains poor. Nuclear medicine is key in diagnosis, staging, response assessment and long-term follow-up of NB.
